A:AnswerI suspect they are having manufacturing quality problems. Made the mistake of buying direct from Phillips instead of through Best Buy. Part of the light arrived damaged and doesn't render colors correctly. Still waiting for a replacement, Phillips Signify support is TERRIBLE. Good luck!
A:AnswerIt can be a any single color. In fact when setting from hue app you can only set to solid color. The gradient lighting effect is intended to be controlled by the HDMI synch box. But it’s a game changer!!
A:AnswerIt sure of exact length but my tv is only about 2’ from outlet and after snaking cable through the cable covers on the back of the TV (probably 2’) it barely reached.
Why not get a 6’ power strip and Velcro it to back of your TV.
A:AnswerA second gradient strip wouldn't help. People have been using the 80" light strip or multiple light bars to cover the bottom. Differences being zones and cost. 1 strip can only do 1 zone of color for $80. 3 light bars would be 3 zones of colors and look better but cost $130 for the 2 set and $70 for the extra light bar.
A:AnswerYes. It works without it in terms of back lighting your tv, but in order to have it sync to the tv you need the hue bridge and the hue sync box.
A:AnswerIt recommends that you put them 2" - 5" from the edges of your TV. It's very bright so you don't have to worry about it being too far from the edge of your TV.
A:AnswerThe Gradient LightStrip works with any flat screen TV so you don't have to worry about that. As far as Size's Go, That's up to you. The Strip is made to wrap around the Left, Top, and Right side of the TV. You could get a larger one (ex. 65" or 75") to use; but it only comes with 5 Mounts to hold it. (3 Straight & 2 Corner). This would definitely work to provide extra light on the bottom; You would just have to figure out a way to mount the extra length of the Strip.
I have a 65" TV with the 65" Gradient. I didn't like that there was no light on the bottom, so I added 3 Hue Play Bars underneath. I Love It Now.
A:AnswerThe lights strip will work with any size TV, it’s fitting the strip that would could potentially be a problem. The TV being larger, though, would just mean you place the light further away from the TV’s edge. Might not have quite the same effect, but would certainly work.
A:AnswerIt can, but it’s made specifically for a 55” tv. When using the sync box, the entertainment area is matched up with the strip which is matched up with the size of the tv. So it may be off a little if you are getting it for the sync box. Otherwise it won’t matter and it will fit on a 45” tv. You may have to finagle it as it is the precise size of the sides and top of a 55” tv.
