“Hi, is there a workaround for the fact that there are no LED's below the screen? Can you use 2 smaller sets and install them so that one set covers the TV's left side and top and the second set covers the right side and the bottom?”

A second gradient strip wouldn't help. People have been using the 80" light strip or multiple light bars to cover the bottom. Differences being zones and cost. 1 strip can only do 1 zone of color for $80. 3 light bars would be 3 zones of colors and look better but cost $130 for the 2 set and $70 for the extra light bar.
