Please note that while parked, your dashcam is not receiving power. In order for it to be able to detect any collisions or suspicious people walking near your vehicle, you would need a hardwire kit. If all you need is collision detection a type C smart hardwire kit will suffice. However, if you want the motion sensing capabilities, please purchase the intelligent type C hardwire kit.
