Hello! Yes, the unit can be mounted anywhere in the windshield. We typically recommend somewhere in the top section to ensure great visibility. Please note that the two cabin cameras are on a swivel so you would be able to move them left and right without any problems. It will be able to move enough to get a good look of somebody being outside of the driver side if need be.
