“My car was hit badly on the passenger side while parked. I did not even notice till much later. Now with a new car, I want a cam, which will record anyone damaging the car from the sides, front and rear while it is parked. Is this the right cam to get?”

• Hello! Please note that while parked, your dashcam is not receiving power. In order for it to be able to detect any collisions or suspicious people walking near your vehicle, you would need a hardwire kit. If all you need is collision detection a type C smart hardwire kit will suffice. However, if you want the motion sensing capabilities, please purchase the intelligent type C hardwire kit.
