- Answer No CD player. If your vehicle does not have a backup camera already you will have to purchase one separately.

QuestionMy Sony XAV-AX100 receiver does not keep time accurate on its own - it seems to need a smartphone even for the clock. Clock drift is very bad when not connected to a smart phone - drifts up to 11 hours off. Factory reset didn't work. Solutions?

QuestionAnyone know if the OEM backup camera, steering wheel controls and mic from my 2017 WRX will interface with this unit?

- Answer I'm not sure if the mic will work (it has a 3.5mm plug for the included mic) but the camera and steering wheel controls will work. You will need an adapter for the steering wheel controls to work but this unit does have an input for it. There is an RCA input for the rear camera input as well.

QuestionWill this receiver work with my existing remote mic for blue tooth calls? Do I need additional wiring devices to make it work?

- Answer I don’t know about wiring in a factory or additional aftermarket mic. I can tell you the unit comes with its own mic, and I have not had any issues with clarity or feedback out of it. Bestbuy did the install and mounted it in the top corner above the driver side column.

- Answer Hi Macgyvur, Follow the online update instructions carefully. Go to Drivers and Software. Make sure the update folder is in the root directory of the USB storage device. Try to download the update on a different USB storage device. QuestionMy daughter has this and an iphone and can say "text husband" and then say what she wants in the text and then "send". Is this an Apple only feature bc of the phone itself? Or can you do this with the Android version?

- Answer Yes, you can text message with Android phones. I have a Samsung Galaxy and it works well. You just tell Google to "message name" and it will record your message and play it back to you. Then it will ask you if you want to redo the message or send it.

QuestionYour web site says this isn't bluetooth compatible but the pictures displayed show options for Bluetooth Audio. Is that correct? Or does this simply mean something else, like that the receiver will play music via bluetooth but not do phone calls?

- Answer I believe what the website is trying to say is that the unit does not support the operation of Apple CarPlay through Bluetooth. In order to use the full capabilities of Apple CarPlay, the iPhone must be connected to the USB port. All other functions such as phone calls and Bluetooth audio capabilities are functional.

QuestionI have Mitsubishi Mirage with factory Bluetooth. When the unit is installed, what happens to my factory Bluetooth mic and hardware? Does the radio reuse them or replace them leaving them as useless hardware?

- Answer It comes with a mic that you'll need to install separately. Bluetooth is built into the unit, so your phone will still connect to the unit.

- Answer XAV-AX100 uses a resistive touchscreen. A bit less responsive than capacitative, but after driving this XAVAX100 for several days now, in cold weather, I have to say that its really kinda nice to be able to keep the gloves on and use the touchscreen interface (resistive responds to pressure i.e. resistance). Capacitative requires skin contact, stylus or touchscreen-friendly gloves.
