A:AnswerHey, Mamas! Your Magstripe reader should be able to read chip cards, but you can get the Contactless and Chip Reader which pairs through Bluetooth and will read chips.
A:AnswerHi! This reader will read a card with a chip, but through the magstripe on the back of the card. The Magstripe reader itself cannot read chips. If you are concerned about reading the chips on the cards themselves, then we would recommend the Contactless and Chip Reader. Thank you!
A:AnswerI used an android (S9) and a Samsung outdated tablet (8 years old). I believe as long as you can download the application to use it, it'll work fine. It simply goes into the headphones jack/outlet.
A:AnswerYes, they sell it. Check the site for the current price of a "Square - Magstripe Reader with Lightning Connector". If you go to a store, all of the card reader offerings are in one place.
A:AnswerYou can check for device compatibility before making a hardware purchase by searching for your device using this tool: squareup.com/compatibility. To learn more about linking a bank account, check out this FAQ page: bit.ly/bankfaqs
A:AnswerHi, Kab! Thanks for reaching out. You do have to have a business to use Square. This can be a personal business used to sell goods or a service, but you cannot use Square to collect debts between friends. If you are looking to use it for that purpose then we would recommend looking into the Square Cash app. :)
