- Answer I use this for a base drive and use it daily. I don't need a backup, this is an integral part of my computer. So efficient, I watch movies off of it, and just bought a second one.

- Answer using a program like Macrium Reflect free you could do all that. But you should only get a drive that matches closely the size of your systems hard drive. as you won't be able to use the extra space for anything else.

QuestionI’ve been trying like no other to connect to my ps3, it just won’t recognize it. I’ve reformatted to FAT32, I’ve done everything I’ve read to do. NOTHING! What am I doing wrong, and has anyone else had this problem??

- Answer I am not sure ps3 is able to use an external drive as not many games require install( unless you buy them digitally) like mandatory ps4 and xbox one or one x) I could be wrong but I do not use one for ps3 at all I own 3 for my gaming PC Xbox one x and ps4 pro Best bet is to call Sony or look online and see if it is possible Good luck

QuestionIs it OK to leave this running 24/7 if kept connected to a USB 3.0 router? I don't want to invest in a NAS at the moment.

- Answer Per this page, it is one of the few WD drives that is not encrypted, however you should call them. https://support.wdc.com/knowledgebase/answer.aspx?ID=15150 Most WD drives make it very difficult to read existing data via a new enclosure or directly in a PC... even if you do not use the password function. I generally no longer buy WD drives due to the exact problem you are having: A bad case renders the drive data unreadable.

- Answer As best I can tell, the WD40EZAZ (which uses SMR) is the probable HDD. This isn't as big an issue with Easystore drives as it would be with raid systems. Since I'm assuming the drive will mostly be used for back-ups, the SMR with the USB interface will only affect backup speed. Figure around 10-20% less than a PMR drive

- Answer I can only tell you that the Easystore works great. Very Easy setup. Plug & play. Backup software is easy to work with.

- Answer I think the best way to achieve that is to plug it into your wireless router and set up as a network drive. If your router has that capability.
