- Answer I think so. You need the Alexa app to do many of the settings, and my guess is that your amazon account is the only way to login and create a profile there.

- Answer all devices will notify you. I called my friend via alexa. Her cell phone rang as well as her echo show and her echo dot. The echo dot announced my name stating that i was calling. but they have to be in your alexa contact list.

- Answer They can both work, but you will have issues if they both respond to the work "Alexa". You will need to mute one , or change the wake word on one to something else.

- Answer I love the Amazon Echo and Ring Video 2 doorbell products. I was able to connect both the Ring, and the Amazon Echo showtime, to my Doorbell to my smartphone. And also keep recordings of motion at my door on the Rind Video app. . The Amazon Echo showtime Facetime calling is great for video calling family and friends. However, Yes the other person you calls need to have the Amazon Echo showtime device also in order to video chat. I have one and bought one more for my granddaughter so that she and I can communicate with video chats, look movies, listen to music and listen to news. Great products. I would definitely recommend to a friend
