• They can both work, but you will have issues if they both respond to the work "Alexa". You will need to mute one , or change the wake word on one to something else.

• You can use one or the other.Wherever you would like to talk to see someone use the echo show.I use mine in the bedroom because I’m in there all the time.It doesn’t make sense to have both in the same place.
