I love the Amazon Echo and Ring Video 2 doorbell products. I was able to connect both the Ring, and the Amazon Echo showtime, to my Doorbell to my smartphone. And also keep recordings of motion at my door on the Rind Video app. . The Amazon Echo showtime Facetime calling is great for video calling family and friends. However, Yes the other person you calls need to have the Amazon Echo showtime device also in order to video chat. I have one and bought one more for my granddaughter so that she and I can communicate with video chats, look movies, listen to music and listen to news. Great products. I would definitely recommend to a friend
