QuestionDoes this soundbar support Dolby Digital Plus? Many streaming services (Netflix, Disney+, etc.) only support 5.1 audio with DD+, not Dolby Digital.

QuestionWhat is the maximum range for the remote control to sound bar? My couch is about 20 feet from the tv/bar and the remote does not operate the bar. If I am 6 feet or less it seems to work.

- Answer My sound bar is about 12’ and works fine. If you leave it in the standby mode, it will come on when the source comes on. Make sure the front of sound bar is not obstructed by something.

QuestionI just got the JBL 5.1 Soundbar Surround! Sounds great, etc… here is my question! The volume of the Soundbar for example will show 19 in volume but in my Vizio Smart TV shows 69 in volume! Is there something I am missing?

- Answer The tv volume level means nothing once you use the sound bar. The tv now puts out a fixed sound level and the tv volume will not change it. The 19 level is where I use my sound bar, but that is the only level that your sound is controlled by, once you install the sound bar.

QuestionWhat size screws are used to mount the soundbar to the wall mount? I lost the screws. They are the ones that screw into the bottom of the soundbar.

- Answer Thanks for reaching out. Unfortunately, we don't have this information. You may take the soundbar to a local hardware store to check for a screw that will fit.

QuestionCan openbox excellent production be returned? If the quality is not what I expect, can I return it? Thank you!

- Answer I could not return it as UPS in my state except only the air return label (battery HAZMAT sticker on the box). Best Buy provided only ground return stickers, and after several phone conversations with agents, they failed to provide a proper return label. My impression was that they were waiting for the return period to expire, which did at the end. I had to call VISA to get my money back. Very disappointing experience with BestBuy.

QuestionI recently bought this soundbar and so far love it. Is there any way to disable the auto-wake feature? That's my only negative, I don't want the soundbar to come on every time I turn on the TV. Thank you!

QuestionI just bought this sound bar today. It was installed by the geek squad. After watching TV for about 5hours the sound bar was still on but had No sound.. Am I missing something that can fix this problem

QuestionI have a sound bar JBL 5.1 SURROUND. I downloaded firmware from JBL.COM i followed the instructions and put the USB ij the bar it started upgrading after reaching 99 it read NO FW UPG . I cant do anything at all currently even not performing reset.

- Answer This is what the remote looks like. When I have it hooked up to my tv in Bluetooth mode I can just use my tv remote to control the volume. So I think any remote could work as long as blue tooth is involved.

- Answer Our JBL Bar 5.1 has a center speaker beside the two surround speakers. The main soundbar consists of 3 drivers aside from the detachable speakers. Our JBL 2.1 only has a left and right channel.
