QuestionMy TV is in living room and rest of the devices are in a room just behind the TV wall.Is it possible to add TV to the activities so that TV gets turned on automatically along with other devices when I select an activity?

- Answer Yes, go to the app on your phone and select Activities > Edit Activities > Add and or Select your current activity and follow the instructions from there to edit the sequence of powering on/off your devices in a given activity. My setup has a majority of my devices behind the wall and my projector in the room with me hanging from the ceiling and I have an Activity (Watch TV) that turns on my receiver, projector, and cable box (I don't think this ever turns off to be honest) at the same time. Hopefully this was helpful and please respond with any additional questions and I will try to help to the best of my knowledge.

- Answer The hub and the remote do not need line of sight to each other to work. I think they run off of WiFi or Bluetooth.

QuestionI have seen references on the internet that the elite does not work correctly with the Pioneer Elite VSXLX503 AV Receiver. Has anyone been able to successfully make this combination work? Were there any specific functionalities that did work?

- Answer Skip it, and go with the Samsung Smart Hub. So much more functionality. Plus, the Elite can't run a decent theater, so it doesn't work well for home products, OR home entertainment.

- Answer Yes, I have a Roku 3 and it operates it just fine. In fact, as soon as I connected the hub to my network, it detected the Roku without me having to tell it that I have one!

QuestionIf I have 3 direct tv receivers in one room and I want them all on a separate device how do I do this!? Having a terrible time trying to separate them. They all turn on or off or change the same channel. I want to have them on single remotes.

- Answer You might have to use an IR blaster from the hub for each unit, and light-shield each unit/blaster combo from one another and from the hub (e.g., by putting them inside separate cabinets or well-ventilated boxes). Seems pretty cumbersome. Even then, I think you'll have trouble controlling the newer DirecTV models (Genie 2). DirecTV does not support 3rd-party universal remotes, like the Harmony.

- Answer No. The hub must have line of sight to any devices that it will be controlling.

- Answer I think you have a reset button...I ran into a issue where it did not turn the tv on and I hit the rest button it took a minute and then it said did this fix your problem and it did. I think it goes back to the setting(s) you set up.

QuestionChild played w/ buttons on Harmony Elite Remote. Now remote is stuck asking "Now is the Pioneer Receiver set to HDMI 1" must answer yes or no, and then stuck with another message and back again. Receiver is HDM1 2, how do I get out of this loop?

- Answer You can keep the hub in the theater room and just use the remote infrared for the tv, dvd, and receiver up stairs. Just create a new activity and you can choose which devices are controled through the ir of the hub and which devises controled from the ir in the remote in the settings.

- Answer Your question does not contain enough information. I will say that using the Elite remote, I am able to communicate perfectly with the Phillips Hue Lighting Hub, and control every light bulb in my house.
