You can keep the hub in the theater room and just use the remote infrared for the tv, dvd, and receiver up stairs. Just create a new activity and you can choose which devices are controled through the ir of the hub and which devises controled from the ir in the remote in the settings.

You can but you'd need a hub since your current hub is not in the same area.
