- Answer This will do wireless Bluetooth with your phone & phone music, so you can use it wirelessly with the Bluetooth feature. It will also do Spotify & Pandora. However if you want to use the actual “CarPlay” feature, you have to plug your phone up with your phone cord to the USB connection that comes with the stereo. Then you can use more features such as GPS navigation, messaging, audiobooks, etc. as well as phone, & music. It will play the radio, cd/dvd’s regardless if you have your phone connected. However, you can only watch the DVD if your parking break is on because you can’t watch dvd’s from the front while driving by law. If you want the DVD to play in the back you have to pay for additional monitors for it to play to the back.

- Answer My Pioneer system was installed by Best Buy and they were able to tie in the backup camera. They used a Maestro harness and a Maestro interface.

The capacitive LCD touchscreen is highly responsive, powerful, and very intuitive for exceptional control. The capacitive touchscreen offers multi-touch gestures like pinch-to-zoom, plus simple swipe & scroll controls - similar to your smartphone's touchscreen interface. The touchscreen display allows you to control this unit and a connected component such as an iPhone, Android smartphone, Bluetooth phone, or USB mass storage class device. Menus appear on screen for making function choices, audio adjustments, and setting up the system. From Connected Car Life: Capacitive touchscreen technology is newer, and is more expensive but features multi-touch gestures and a glass screen. However if you are using Apple CarPlay pinch to zoom will not work, Apple felt it was a distraction to use multi-touch for navigation. - Answer The BB website and app are not great re determining fit so I looked on Crutchfield for you and they say yes, it will fit but with a modification(s). I wouldn’t worry about that too much but would def consult with the install shop before buying. It does not come with backup cameras but a kit can be purchased for it. Again, consult with the pros first - the install crew that installed this unit in my gals BRZ really knew their stuff. The sales staff? Not so much, no offense, they meant well. Speakers? I don’t know but the install crew recommended an upgrade for her BRZ. This doesn’t answer all your questions but hope it helps. My gal loves this deck and the Apple CarPlay.

- Answer You’re probably correct but unfortunately the installers at Best Buy go to the easiest route possible they do not care about how much it cost you. I bought a $300 stereo and the dash kit and adapter were an extra 400. The adapter was insanely expensive but it did have cool features. Although Best Buy didn’t tell me this I had to find it out on my own. Those features are not available for the unit I purchased. They still wanted to use that high priced unit even though those features were unavailable to me because it was faster for them.
