You’re probably correct but unfortunately the installers at Best Buy go to the easiest route possible they do not care about how much it cost you. I bought a $300 stereo and the dash kit and adapter were an extra 400. The adapter was insanely expensive but it did have cool features. Although Best Buy didn’t tell me this I had to find it out on my own. Those features are not available for the unit I purchased. They still wanted to use that high priced unit even though those features were unavailable to me because it was faster for them.
