This will do wireless Bluetooth with your phone & phone music, so you can use it wirelessly with the Bluetooth feature. It will also do Spotify & Pandora. However if you want to use the actual “CarPlay” feature, you have to plug your phone up with your phone cord to the USB connection that comes with the stereo. Then you can use more features such as GPS navigation, messaging, audiobooks, etc. as well as phone, & music. It will play the radio, cd/dvd’s regardless if you have your phone connected. However, you can only watch the DVD if your parking break is on because you can’t watch dvd’s from the front while driving by law. If you want the DVD to play in the back you have to pay for additional monitors for it to play to the back.
