From Crutchfield: 6.78" Capacitive Touchscreen: The Pioneer DMH-W4660NEX features a 6.78" capacitive LCD touchscreen display with a resolution of 800 x 480 (RGB), for a total of 1,152,000 pixels. The capacitive LCD touchscreen is highly responsive, powerful, and very intuitive for exceptional control. The capacitive touchscreen offers multi-touch gestures like pinch-to-zoom, plus simple swipe & scroll controls - similar to your smartphone's touchscreen interface. The touchscreen display allows you to control this unit and a connected component such as an iPhone, Android smartphone, Bluetooth phone, or USB mass storage class device. Menus appear on screen for making function choices, audio adjustments, and setting up the system. From Connected Car Life: Capacitive touchscreen technology is newer, and is more expensive but features multi-touch gestures and a glass screen. However if you are using Apple CarPlay pinch to zoom will not work, Apple felt it was a distraction to use multi-touch for navigation. Resistive touchscreen technology has improved over the last few years and have been engineered to be much more touch sensitive in hopes of narrowing the technology gap with its capacitive technology counterpart.
