Q: QuestionFor touchscreen type the description says - Resistive. Where as all other websites state this model is capacitive touchscreen (there's a big difference between the two). Why the difference on the model listed here?

The capacitive LCD touchscreen is highly responsive, powerful, and very intuitive for exceptional control. The capacitive touchscreen offers multi-touch gestures like pinch-to-zoom, plus simple swipe & scroll controls - similar to your smartphone's touchscreen interface. The touchscreen display allows you to control this unit and a connected component such as an iPhone, Android smartphone, Bluetooth phone, or USB mass storage class device. Menus appear on screen for making function choices, audio adjustments, and setting up the system. From Connected Car Life: Capacitive touchscreen technology is newer, and is more expensive but features multi-touch gestures and a glass screen. • A:Answer So whenever you replace your radio you will need a couple things. the kit(which holds the radio in place of where the factory one was), the harness (which is the wiring that allows you to easily interface with the cars wiring), and on most vehicles some sort of antenna adapter (so you can have AM and FM radio). steering wheel controls, SXM, backup cameras and other "add ons" all need more parts to get it installed. As for what ones you need and what is compatible that purely depends on the vehicle you drive.

• A:Answer While it has HDMI capability, I’ve found it a bit complicated to use. For my iPhone, I had to buy a an HDMI adapter that wasn’t exactly cheap. So now you have a bunch of wires hanging around, the USB cable, the HDMI cable and the adapter. If you’re into watching movies, it was a lot simpler to download them to a flash drive and then it’s just plug it in and play.

• A:Answer The Pioneer DMH-W4660NEX works with Wireless Android Auto. When you're using wireless Android Auto, all of your calls and text messages will work through wireless Android Auto. The Pioneer DMH-W4660NEX has wireless Bluetooth built-in. However please note, when you are using wireless Android Auto, this will take the place of Bluetooth. All of your music, phone calls, and messages will work through wireless Android Auto. You can do nearly all operations with voice commands. If your Samsung Galaxy A10e phone has Android OS version 9 or higher is should work with Android Auto Wireless. I recommend to go to a Best Buy store and talk to a sales associate and connect your phone to the display model to be sure.

• A:Answer I would check the compatibility of your I phone model to the stereo and maybe you need to update your iOS, as for the brake issue, this stereo won’t let you do certain things if the vehicle is in motion I bought a bypass (APPS2Car Parking Brake Bypass Video in Motion Interface Module) it’s cheap and easy to install. Amazon is where I purchased mine. Hope this info helps

Q: QuestionI bought the pioneer 4660nex head units at best buy and had them install it. It won't let me set the time. When you go to set the time and date there's no arrows to move t numbers up and down only a utc thing and I'm in california..how do i set the time?

• A:Answer The Pioneer DMH-W4660NEX time/clock/date should set itself using GPS signals atuomatically received as you drive the vehicle. It's typical for this to take 10-20 minutes the first time you use the vehicle after the new in-dash receiver is installed. This is a first time only thing. After the time sets itself, it will appear as you start the vehicle with little or no delay. If you have driven the vehicle for more that 30 minutes at one time, and still do not have a proper clock, time and date, I recommend to contact the installer and explain the details.

• A:Answer To make sure you have the right harness, I would talk to a Geek Squad installer that installs car audio products. There are specific harnesses for every vehicle. I have a 2012 Chrysler Town & Country, the steering wheel control harness only gives you that, all other functions are lost (stereo speaker fade control, gauges, tire pressure, door alarms, etc.) I had to use the Maestro RR harness to retain all Chrysler factory functionality. Talk to a Geek Squad installer, not a store rep, to make sure you get the right harness.
