A:AnswerNot for the Roamio. There is no monthly charge for it. However the other TiVo boxes have a monthly fee. Hulu, Netflix and the other services do have a monthly charge.
A:AnswerI do not think it will play DVDs. There are no disc slots on the TIVO device. We have a separate Blue Ray disc player. We do use the TIVO remote to select the input, and to control TIVO and regular TV programs, but have to use the Blueray disc remote to play the discs.
A:AnswerThe Tivo brochure says 90 days labor/1 year exchange parts. The warranty struck me as being pretty thin which is why I got the extended from BB. After using a Comcast dvr for the last few years, the TiVo is a slick little machine though.
A:AnswerSling is not available on the OTA yet. But Amazon Prime is. Love my Tivo OTA. If you want Sling, until Sling makes it available on the Tivo Platform, try a Roku.. I did and it works great and when Sling makes their service available on Tivo, you can move the Roku to another set...
A:AnswerYou can only use one TiVo per tv, however to answer your question YES you can connect to the wifi with multiple tvs.
I have the TiVo Romario OTA and TiVo mini which means I can record on my Romario and watch and play off of my mini too. This is done by using wifi.
A:AnswerSome Tivo's cone with the subscription included and those are more expensive, like 400. Got the second TV you'll need a TiVo mini ($150) to connect to the main TiVo. These require a LAN connection or the use of cable lines.
A:AnswerYes it will function in Canada . It has tuners inside just like your TV so if you are receiving over the air broadcasts on an antenna this unit will work amazingly well.
I live I Oshawa Ontario and I receive about forty five stations. Twenty or so are Canadian channels and the rest are from Buffalo N.Y..
I have an older dual tuner tivo that I've had for six / seven years and it has worked pe4fectly . All you have to do is enter into the data base your postal code so it knows where you live and it will download the appropriate tv guide for your area. Good luck / bon chance!!
A:AnswerIf you are asking can I record shows using the tivo romio dvr on my tv, then the answer is........you can record anything viewable from an over the air antenna (major network channels and many additional channels viewable using an antenna). You will not be able to record shows that you are streaming, although tivo romio provides a nice platform for Hulu, Amazon video, Netflix, Vudu and several other options.
