A:AnswerI havent done it myself yet but you can purchase just the skinny part of the sensor (not sure what its called), and install it higher up so the alarm can be set with the window open a bit. May have to grt through Simplisafe themselves
A:AnswerIt won’t chime on its own. When connected or linked to your SimpliSafe base station, you can have the option to chime or not to chime when triggered. The chime comes from the base station, not the entry sensor itself.
A:AnswerIt should, depending on what router you have and how far away you put it from the base station. My system works well with a Google Nest Router. My sensors are about thirty to 50 feet from the base station.
A:AnswerI am not sure, but I have had Simplisafe in my home for a few years now. The only issue I've had with the sensor is that I mounted one on a garage entry door that had a steel frame. I don't recommend that. The magnet in the sensor is strong enough that the steel frame seems to interfere with the sensor and draws the battery down relatively quickly, I've had no issues with the sensors on the other three entry doors,
