A:Answer I am not sure, but I have had Simplisafe in my home for a few years now. The only issue I've had with the sensor is that I mounted one on a garage entry door that had a steel frame. I don't recommend that. The magnet in the sensor is strong enough that the steel frame seems to interfere with the sensor and draws the battery down relatively quickly, I've had no issues with the sensors on the other three entry doors,
