• I havent done it myself yet but you can purchase just the skinny part of the sensor (not sure what its called), and install it higher up so the alarm can be set with the window open a bit. May have to grt through Simplisafe themselves

• All sensors will be alarmed ( away or home) except the one on the open window. The system will tell you that one of the sensors is open.
