QuestionSo if the arc operates on a different app, how is it possible it can be combined with your current Sonos speakers when they will stay on the current app?

- Answer The Arc must use the new (launching June 8th) Sonos app. There is an easy upgrade path from your current Sonos app to the new app as long as all of your current Sonos speakers are compatible with the new app. The only players that are NOT compatible with the new app are Connect and Connect:Amps that were produced prior to 2015, the Play:5 (Gen 1), and any product that was named with "ZP". If you have any of these players, they will have to stay on the S1 app and will not work directly with products that are on the new Sonos app. You can find more information on this at sonos.com/support by searching for S2.

- Answer The Playbar will ultimately be replaced by the Sonos Arc from a sales availability perspective. However, the Playbar will continue to receive new features and updates and continue to be a great soundbar! If you want voice, Atmos, and a more powerful speaker array then upgrading to the Arc might be the right thing for you!

Questioncan I connect ATV4k with optical and use HDMI for Netflix from my TV? I'm really confused about conflicting info with ATV4k and cables. how would this work on the ARC to get true Atmos?

- Answer In order to get Atmos from an Apple TV you must have a television that supports eARC instead of the traditional ARC. Apple uses a format of Atmos that can only be passed through the higher bandwidth eARC connection that is only present on very new televisions. Digital Optical lacks the bandwidth to pass any Atmos signal.

- Answer Yes, but I believe that model TV does not have an eArc port. You can still receive Atmos, but not the newer lossless Atmos capability.

- Answer Yes, you can. You set up the soundbars in virtual rooms and can move the sub (and other Sonos speakers) between these virtual rooms if needed. They can all be in the same physical room.

- Answer You have access to the Sonos app via your phone. The app gives you access to your music whether Sonos radio, Apple Music and so on. Once you turn the Apple Music source on within your Sonos app, your phone does not need to be available after other than to change music. The app turns it on within the Arc

- Answer You will no longer need the amp. These speakers have built in amplification. Not sure about the cd player. I play music from my phone and that works great.

- Answer Yes. eArc supports a lossless form of Atmos while Arc only port supports standard Atmos.

- Answer Hi, and thank you for your question. The Sonos Arc does not support DTS. You would get a 5.1 signal from that movie as long as 5.1 is supported.

QuestionYou only partially answered my question. I have spent a lot of money for my ceiling speakers. I have a receiver driving those speakers that doesn't have ARC. If I buy a sonos ARC would those three speakers be compatible in terms of timing and sound?

- Answer Hi, Apologies, as We must not have understood your question. ARC will only work with your in ceiling speakers if they are surrounds. ARC is the front channels of your home theater system. So no, it will not work in conjunction with front in ceilings. However, If you'd like to use those in ceilings as rears, you can do so with the Sonos AMP powering them. There is no way to use a pair of in ceilings with ARC for the front channels in any way, shape, or form. We hope this answers your question.

- Answer AppleTV requires the use of an eARC port to output Dolby Atmos due to the Atmos coding that the device uses. If your native apps on your television support Dolby Digital+ output those would provide Atmos to the Sonos Arc for playback.

QuestionI have a Android phone and I cannot configure the speakers to calibrate my room. The arc is working but I don't think the speakers is working for Dolby Atmos. Hearing sound but no height effect at all. Don't know if Sonos will fix this issue.
