A:AnswerIn many instances this indicates that there is no boot drive found.
You may need to provide more information.
Your PC may be trying to boot from a drive which has no bootable information.
Make sure in your computers BIOS that the correct drive is selected as the Boot Drive. IF your not sure which one that is... Pick one and try to boot. If it does not work... Pick a different Drive and try again.
If your PC recently booted fine and you installed a new drive the BIOS may have chosen the new drive to boot from and you will need to switch it back to the drive it was using previously.
A:AnswerIt doesn't come with any cables or connectors. Typically the manufacturer of your computer will install enough power and data cables to serve all the drive bays, used or empty. Open the box and take a look. Usually they are hanging in place, sometimes in a side storage area.
A:AnswerIf still under warranty, return it. Failure of hardware or software within the drive is failing. If out of warranty you might try old-school trick. Seal in plastic bag and put if freezer overnight. Good luck.
A:AnswerYes it would work. It supports up to a 6GB drive. I would recommend the "WD Red" version for surveillance camera recordings though, as that is what they're primarily designed for. As far as recording times, it would depend on how many cameras you have and what quality they record at (720p will record much longer than 1080p as will 18FPS (Frames Per Second) vs 30FPS but the quality won't be as good).
WD has a tool called "Surveillance Storage Capacity Estimator Tool" on their website that should give you a pretty good estimate.
A:AnswerHi jayobyrd, Please know that both the desktop drives has 3.5 Inch form factor. Based on the part number shared WDBH2D0040HNC - WD Mainstream and WD40EZRZ - WD Blue. We recommend you to check with the PC vendor whether WD drive will fit and support the host device. -Need Help? lease see our "'Contact Us" page for information.
