Small, comfortable and unique
||Posted .I love these headphones. I like most women have small ears. The Bose looked like I was trying to contact Mars and the Jaybird Free were still clunky. These fit in my ears amazingly without looking like a wierdo when I'm in public. Many people don't even notice I'm wearing headphones. They have 3 sizes of ear plugs and the ear catching thing to ensure a great fit. They also are touch controlled which is very unique to the market and totally worth it. I don't have any issues changing songs or playlists. The case they come in is super cute and small also. It doesn't take up space in your pocket or purse which is nice. An issue I encountered is the general volume is low. Even at it's highest setting (on the phone and headphones) it's still low. Luckily the sound canceling is really nice so you really can hear the music even when it's low. I guess the issue I've had the most problems with is the Bluetooth connection. When I have my phone in my pocket it sometimes drops the connection from Spotify. I haven't had any issues when I connect it to my Samsung Gear Sport watch though (probably because there's never barriers on my wrist). Overall I love these headphones and would highly recommend them.

Awesome for the perfect workout!
||Posted .The Samsung Gear iconx 2018 version is The Perfect Workout accessory! I love how they fit perfectly in my ear and sound decent. You can put your own music on them or you can use Bluetooth and stream music from your phone. These are basically Samsung's airpods but way better because you can use them on other Android devices. Battery life is great and the new Ambient sound feature makes them even better

Not What I Hoped
||Posted .I really wanted to like these earbuds. I really did. I just had too many issues to give them a better rating. I'll start with the obvious fact that although I ordered pink, my shipping paperwork says pink, and it clearly says pink on this review, the earbuds I received were NOT pink... They were black. If I had wanted black, humdrum earbuds, I certainly would never have spent this kind of money on them! Now, to the product... I DID like that each earbud is able to work independently of each other. Volume, answering calls, changing the station, etc can all be done with each earbud, or both. That's good because if you use your Bluetooth device a lot, you can get twice the usage from 1 charge... wear 1 while the other is charging. This set of earbuds pairs with the Samsung Gear app, which can be useful, but it can also be a real pain if you don't care for your phone telling you to workout even if you aren't trying to! There is a built-in equalizer which can be adjusted to your own taste. There's also a "find" feature for those days when you misplace 1 of your earbuds. The battery life seemed better than some units I've tried. The ear gels are incredibly thin and flimsy, not to mention uncomfortable and extremely difficult to put on. The sound quality is very good but still not enough to convince me to use them...

Amazing sound, lightweight and great features
Posted .PROS: Build quality feels solid and has a premium look and feel; Lightweight; Low profile and sleek appearance; Comes with multiple sizes for ear wings and plugs for the right fit, which also helps reduce outside noise; Amazing call clarity, after multiple calls I've been told that the mic quality is clear and does not easily pick up ambient noise; Clear mids and highs and has some surprising bass for the size; 4-5 hours of solid bluetooth streaming battery life; Carrying case charges the earbuds and they charge up quickly with the fast charging feature like the Note8; Carrying case is tiny and fits in your pocket; Ambient noise function is useful when you need to hear your surroundings (like at the office); Works with Google and Bixby to listen to commands like pulling up your music with your phone in your pocket; Has an option to help find your missing buds (using the gear app); Auto-detect workout feature (like in the Gear S3, but not as reliable on measurements); and Pairing is effortless but the first update takes a while to load. CONS: Some connectivity issues, you must be within 4-5 feet of your phone or the connection starts to cut out; Issues where one earbud was louder than the other or wouldn't connect at all (this was fixed by placing both into the case to disconnect then taking them out again, this uncommonly happened when I would go from one earbud to two; Ambient sound option only picks up direct in mic noise, so it does not help pick up echoes (which is helpful for clear phone conversations); Ambient sound option is automatically off having one earbud in; No wall adapter in box; Lack of an on/off feature on the earbuds themselves; The case is pretty much required to be on you to store your earbuds and keep them off and prevent them from draining out; and Using the smallest wing tips have issues charging in their case. I normally use these earbuds while at the office, at the airport or while at the gym or running. They have never fallen out or that I felt were loose. Right away I was blown away at the clarity of my music stream and how the seal was able to keep outside noise out. Having about 4 hours of battery life can get pretty rough during a workday when you want more, but the charging case makes up for it. The swipe controls can get a little finicky, but you get used to working them. Overall I have been incredibly happy with these and have recommended them to friends.

Amazing Wireless Earbuds
Posted .Overall, the IconX 2018 are now the perfect wireless earbuds. The 2018 earbuds have improved comfort, sound, battery life, and Bluetooth connection over the 2016 earbuds. I use them daily and they are my primary Bluetooth headphones and headset. IconX 2018 Comfort, 9/10 Sound, 9/10 Connection, 9/10 Battery, 10/10 Size, 10/10 IconX 2016 Comfort, 7/10 Sound, 8/10 Connection, 8/10 Battery, 8/10 Size, 10/10 Over-ear, noise-canceling headphones (for gaming at home or movie on airplane) Comfort, 10/10 Sound, 10/10 Connection, 3/10 wired Battery, 10/10 (1x AAA every month or 2) Size, 2/10 After using the Samsung Gear IconX 2018 for a month, I am happy to say these are overall near-perfect wireless earbuds. The fit is even more comfortable than the IconX 2016, so I can wear them for hours (yardwork, biking, etc.) with no problem. They have never fallen out even while running. It was easy to the find the right fit from the 3 included 3 wingtips. The sound is great too. Better than the IconX 2016, but not my over-the-ear, noise-canceling headphones. The earbuds are improved for fit, making a great seal to keep in the bass and keep out most noise. The Bluetooth connection is solid overall but did skip once or twice if my phone was buried in my bag. Loading MP3 music from my PC or phone was easy, just go through the Samsung gear app. The swip motions (skip, pause, volume up/down) are still sensitive and responsive with better accuracy. I love having wireless music without my phone while at the gym or on the go! Stay in the zone without dealing with wired earbuds or a phone! The included case keeps them together while charging them. The IconX 2018 has better charging management than the 2016. Occasionally the IconX 2016 would flash a red error while charging (so you had to open & close the case and unplug & plug in the USB cable to reset). The IconX 2018 has not had any problems charging the earbuds or the case. Samsung also moved the ear sensor from the bottom of the 2016 to the inside of the 2018. It is smaller and better able to sense that is in the ear. Occasionally, the sensor on the 2016 earbuds would point slightly out of the ear (only for people with small ears) and think it was taken out and shut down. I got my pair at a discount through a promotion, but this review is my own honest opinion.

Untethered brilliance with a slight learning curve
Posted .Samsung's latest addition to the exploding wireless earbud market is an excellent extension of your phone as well as a stand-alone entertainment system. However, there may be a slight learning curve for some users. To start with what makes the IconX great is the sound. Whether you are streaming music or accessing a playlist from the 4GB Storage capacity, the sound quality is very good. When you place them in your ear, you need to do a slight twist, so they firmly sit in your ear, but at that point, there is no concern of them falling out during a workout. With this fit, there are some noise canceling affects that are nice. Samsung also offers an Ambient Sound feature (from the app) that allows you to hear outside conversations so that you do not need to constantly remove the earbuds during use. Another aspect I appreciate about these earbuds is that you don’t have tiny dongles hanging out of your ears which I find to look ridiculous. Next, I love the fact that Samsung included the 4GB storage capabilities (approx. 1000 MP3s), which allows you to detach from your phone when working out or using the earbuds. This also helps extend the battery life a bit. A nice bonus with the IconX charging case is that it will provide your earbuds 1-2 full charges when it is not plugged in, which is an excellent backup feature when you are on the go. The only thing that I would say took a little getting used to is the touchpad controls. Occasionally as I am trying to play/pause music (one tap) or forward to the next song (two taps), I inadvertently start a workout (tap and hold). I have registered a few 0km workouts. However, the workout features are great, and I find to be very accurate. The assisted coaching capabilities can help push you a little further. I tested out the call features with my wife, and she indicated that my voice was very clear and equal if not better than when using the phone as I tend to move the device a lot when speaking. All-in-all, I love these earbuds for working out, doing work around the house, and listening to while I am at work. They have made music even more accessible and are certainly a leader in the wireless earbud market.

Better than ALL the REST
||Posted .Tried the follow list (see below) in the span of 2 weeks and they all failed me except the new Samsung. My goal was to have a in-ear headphone that sounds great, easy to charge, long battery life, compact, and most importantly stay in my ear comfortably while I shoot around on the basketball court or exercise. If your requirements are similar to mine, then save yourself the time. Below is the list of items that I tried and why they failed. I rarely write a review but I hope my experience can save you time in getting the right one for you. Bought a second pair in black for my son. Take care. Bose SoundSport Free wireless headphones - $249; (Failed in fit since it was not a true in-ear system. Feels like it was ready to fall out. Also, it's too big and sticking out of my ear like I have a giant earing when you see yourself in the mirror. Sony - WF 1000X True Wireless In-Ear Noise Canceling Headphones - $199; (Failed - Poor noise cancelling and not loud enough. Fit was good for in-ear. Jabra - Elite Sport True Wireless Earbud - $299 (Failed - Did not fit well in-ear and not loud enough) JAM - Ultra True Wireless In-Ear Headphones - $99 (Failed - did not fit well and poor sound quality) Rowkin - Bit Stereo Bluetooth Headset - $99 (Failed - Worst of them all in sound quality and did not fit well) Jaybird - X3 Sport Wireless In-Ear Headphones - $99 (Failed - awful in sound and charging was clamp versus plug in like most made for a horrible user experience. Second worst.

Q: QuestionI was wondering about the call quality, can people hear you without the mouth piece being close to your mouth? , or any complaints with the phone use. Thank you
Asked by Stone.
- A:Answer It's not that bad considering the mic is close to your ear. Purchased 2 pairs and called my son while we were in the noisy gym and it sounded good. No issues with clarity.

Q: QuestionI am aware the buds charge inside the case, but can the case wirelessly charge on a QI pad like the galaxy phones? I'm just asking because the case to the apple air pods can and apple is usually not ahead of Samsung.
Asked by Android.
- A:Answer Sorry, the case is not wireless charging. USB charging only
Answered by Tri32
Q: QuestionCould you sleep with them in your ears
Asked by Michael.
- A:Answer Answer: Yes, because they don't stick out as far like others (esp. BOSE SoundSport). One thing to add, Samsung Gear 2018 DOES NOT HAVE Bluetooth voice to mouth lag. I watch business news on iPad at the gym streaming video content in and lag drives me crazy. Hope this helps.
