A:AnswerPossible causes I've encountered in past: vent hose not totally secured at connections or at outlet, and/or vent hose needs cleaning from its origin at back and underneath drier. If hose itself is gathering lint, it might be easier to just install a new one.
A:AnswerI have an older model washing machine also. The height of the flat surface of my washing machine is 36". The height of the flat surface of my new dryer is 37.5". The pair are side by side in a small laundry room and really don't look bad. I took a photo but I couldn't get back very far from the two. I was hoping the heights would match but am happy with the performance of the new dryer and don't give the difference any thought now.

A:AnswerMine is about 4 inches from the wall. Just enough to allow the exhaust tube to flow straight out the back and through the wall. The exhaust hole for my dryer is in the wall directly behind it at the same level as the exhaust tube exiting the dryer. Basically you just need enough room behind the dryer to allow the exhaust tubing.
A:AnswerIt's very quiet! It has a loud buzzer when the dryer is done or you can shut the buzzer off. There's a light in the dryer when you open the door.Thats a great frature!
A:AnswerHello Lisa - this is Nancy at GE Appliances and I am happy to help you. The dryer door opens from the side. The hinges are on the right as you are facing the dryer. However, the dryer door can be reversed. I hope this helps! Thanks for checking with us!
A:AnswerRemove the lint tray and sweep the lint off lightly with your fingers. I use a baby tooth brush and sweep it lightly over the lint tray while the tray sits on a paper towel to catch the lint.
