The smart tv did not have audio out but did have the optical port so I hooked into that and the other end into the wireless headset. Don't know about wireless speakers since I don't use them. A:AnswerYour smart TV is probably putting out Dolby 5.1 digital audio. That's what ours puts out, and I can't change it back to PCM. This box is useless for such devices.
A:AnswerIt should. I just got a TCL 55S405 and had the audio going from the cable box into myTechnics SA-GX 130 , but the streaming audio only came through the tv's speakers and the only audio output jack is the fiber optic.
Ick.
So I got the f/o cable and the converter (which comes with stereo RCA patch cord) and plugged it in to my receiver.
