I bought this so I can watch Netflix on a new smart tv - I just turn down the sound on the tx and listen through the headset I purchased. The smart tv did not have audio out but did have the optical port so I hooked into that and the other end into the wireless headset. Don't know about wireless speakers since I don't use them. Hope this helps. Nick Sosnoski at Best buy was a great help understanding all of this, could not have done it without his input.
