A:AnswerHighly unlikely as most computers do not have an HDMI input (only output). This device, Insignia- RCA to HDMI Converter is specifically intended to connect older audio/video equipment to newer Television sets that strictly use HDMI inputs. NOW, as a DJ enthusiast I've done this, get an RCA to 1/8th inch Phono cable, run the output of your mixer to the microphone/audio input of your sound card on your computer, check your sound input configuration in Windows (assuming you're using a PC, other platforms would be similar), a little trial and error may occur while getting the settings right.

A:AnswerThat is a very good question. But I bet money, that if you took that question in to Best Buy, they would probably allow you to purchase the item with an agreement that if the converter you try out does not work, then you would be refunded your money, or another option to get what you want, would be offered to you. Or, call out a Geek Squad tech to come out and help you fix the problem right there is the comfort of your own home.
A:AnswerHello,
As long as the camcorder has RCA outputs and your TV has an HDMI input, it should work.

A:AnswerIt might. Originally, when I bought it, I only had the yellow and white RCA ones and it worked fine. However, I just looked up what each goes for and found out that "RCA plugs for composite video (yellow) and stereo audio (white and red)". So, it depends on what you're hooking up. If you don't need to see anything (yellow for video) and just need to have audio then it should work. I'll tell you though that if you need the video part, it's pretty cheap (under $4) online and in stores. Hope this helps you.
A:AnswerI have mine plugged into a power strip and haven't had any problems. Have you tried another socket just to make sure it's not an issue with that? Also ensure the power cable is securely plugged into the device. If neither of those helps, I think it's defective.
A:AnswerAre you sure you purchased the right product? If you're wanting the TV to produce sound through the stereo, you probably need the HDMI to RCA converter, not the RCA to HDMI converter. They are different as the input and outputs are swapped around.
A:AnswerIf your goal is to go from 3 RCA outputs to an HDMI input, this is the unit you need. In other words, your output device must have 3 component/RCA jacks: Yellow, Red, and White. I bought one a few weeks ago, and it works perfectly for this specific purpose. I don't know anything about your devices, the camcorder or the TV, but it sounds like you're attempting to do what I did to connect an old VHS/DVD player to my Samsung HDMI-only TV.
A:AnswerIf your computer only has usb connection like most of them do, then you will need and audio cable that hooks up to your usb then to the rca converter. So one end being for usb and the other having the red and white for audio
