I have an old 90s big screen tv with no HDMI capability. Ordered this online for curbside pickup and it was ready within the hour. Only waited about 3 minutes in the store parking lot. Took it home and installed in 2 minutes and now I can plug my phone or laptop into my hdmi adapter and plug that into this converter and instantly watch anything I can watch on my phone or streaming accounts on the tv! Just saved me hundreds on a new tv!!!! Excellent audio and video quality - really happy with this purchase.

For a product that is $40 it is very limited. It works fairly well but it depends on the device that it connects to. If the input device sends a picture resolution of 4K it has trouble downsizing, if it sends at 720p it can cause issues also. Up to 1080p is supported by the converter but the device you connect it to can have strange effects on the screen or edges. I wish that this device had S-video port. I also wish that it was bi-directional to support reversible connections. One other comment, it’s a very large adapter, it should be half the size and half the thickness to fit in smaller spaces. I hope the next revision will be usb-c powered.
