A:AnswerI’m not sure if you can physically hook it up, but this may be overkill for two 5.25’s. I’m using it on a 5.1 set up now with not the best/most powerful receiver and I have it at 1/4-1/2 volume and it can easily overwhelm the highs and Mids.
A:AnswerI don’t believe so. Most subs aren’t shielded. I don’t have mine near any electronics, so i don’t have any issues. Looking through the manual that came with it, it doesn’t mention any magnetic shielding.
A:AnswerThere could be many reasons for that. The most common would be your audio setting or the signal coming into your receiver for your audio source.
The first time you listened to the sub it may have been from a true digital signal. There other times you may have been listening to an analog signal and or a upscaled to mimic digital signal from your receiver (PCM) There would be night and day difference in sound and bass response.
Check to see if you're receive is set to digital signal....Dolby Digital any form, DTS any form.
Check to see if your audio source to your receiver is set to uncompressed , DTS......Dolby Digital
Last: If you can check your sub wire, test it by replacing it. I recommend 1 wire to the LFE input (receiver to sub)
A:AnswerCall Klipsch, they are easy to reach or write them. But when I call they answer on the first ring. I have 2 of these on a 7.2 and down around 29hz this thing is incredible. A lot of it depends on your room as well. So many people forget that, but your room size matters. You may not even need a 12 and if you get one, you will lose sound quality, its best to design your system around your room size. I recently started that new Dolby set up, I forget the name where you fire speakers sort of straight up, some out, it actually looks like it wouldn't work, until I sat down in front of one and gave it a listen and it sold me. I think this is a Atmos set up, but there are many configurations http://www.audioholics.com/diy-audio/how-to-install-an-immersive-audio-setup/DolbyAtmos714setup.png/image_view_fullscreen
A:AnswerThey would do just fine, depending on the size of your room, you may consider 2 10 inch subs and go wireless..I'm running 2 of these on my 7.2 and its incredible.
A:AnswerNo! This is a home theater sub. It will completely overkill desktop speakers even if it works, and you can get much cheaper options. A whole set of Klipsch computer speakers, even for the home theater set up, is less than this sub.
A:AnswerMy Klipsch subwoofer has no noise or hum at all. My suggestion would be to replace the cable from your receiver/amp to your sub. There are some quality cables out there at affordable prices if you look around. Good luck. Hope this helped.
A:AnswerI hooked this to a Sony soundbar. I purchased a digital cable and digital to analog converter and hooked up directly to the Sony smart TV and sub. Since the soundbar is already synced to the TV the subwoofer goes on with the sound bar.
