My experience has been your room, layout, and speaker placement is just as critical as the right speaker/sub for the best sound. This is a great sub, but what your intentions and placement are is what you need to describe to get the best answer. Everything effects the sounds of the speakers as well; furniture, carpet vs. hard wood flooring, room size, and speaker location. Also, is your primary intentions theater or music?
