QuestionDoes the 3 channels option allow me to setup a tv and ipadHow would I go about setting up the earphones so that I could use the headphones with either the tv and iPad by simply changing the channels? Is there any additional equipment needed to do this?

- Answer You can only connect to one item at a time unless you have a common amp or receiver that you can connect your tv and iPad to.

- Answer You should be able to do that, as long as your yard isn't too big. Just connect the headphones base unit to your radio (need an output jack on the radio) and you're good to go. The radio could be located in the house, although you might get better results having the radio outside. I use these while exercising on a downstairs treadmill, with the base unit connected to an upstairs TV.

- Answer Yes. This unit installs with a headphone jack so, yes. However, you can't walk around with the iPod in your hand while doing so. The range on these headphones can get staticy after 30-50 feet or through walls, etc. But yes they will install on iPod.

- Answer It looks like your TV should have 1 "Audio Out Mini Jack", likely on the side. This should support most headphones that have a connector jack that is that same size. The Sony wireless headphones show as having a "3.5mm (1/8") stereo mini plug". I would assume these will be compatible.

QuestionLosing power?Similar to the first question asked here, my headphones work for about 10 mins, then the green light starts to flash,sound stops. Then green light goes off completely. If I disconnect and reconnect the power, green light comes on sound comes back but again only for a short time. rinse and repeat

QuestionSony wireless headset MDR-RF985RFrom the first day I purchased it I began experiencing problems. The unit goes out of power so I loose sound despite the fact that the headset is fully charged. Then I have to unplug and plug it to electric source. There is always background noise that is annoying even though I keep changing channels. Finally, the only way I can turn this on is unplug and then plug. Only after this power comes with green light on. I don't understand the purpose of power button. There is no instruction that addresses these questions. I am very upset !

QuestionThe green power light doesn't illuminate.I purchased Sony earphones TMR-RF985R at Christmas but the green power light doesn't illuminate. Is this a fault? It's an issue for me because I can't tell if power is getting to the unit.

- Answer That is a fault if the headphones charge and you can turn those on and see the light and hear sound. If you do then the base is getting power and transmitting the light is just faulty. If not, then try other power outlets and if still no power, exchange for another set.

- Answer I don't see any easy way to replace the batteries, so I don't think you can use regular ones, but the charge on the internal lithium battery lasts a LONG time. I've slept while listening to it, and when I wake up, it's still playing.

Questioncan't hear thru all devicesi have my visio tv hooked to a samsung sound bar with a apple tv vizio blue ray and direct tv cable the only place i can hear anything is thru the direct tv cable box everything else does not work. samsung does not even have a cable out for the audio except the optical to the tv.

- Answer If your Samsung sound bar or T.V. has a headphone jack - use that. I connected the headphones to the "audio out " jacks of my receiver and got nothing. The instructions say connect the headphones to a cable box. The instructions fail to say that the cable box connection is the only way the "audio out " connection will work. The only way I could get my headphones to work was to connect them to a headphone jack. I connect them to my Yamaha receiver or my T.V. that way.

- Answer Each wireless headset unit has only 3 separate 900 MHz frequency range transmission channels; and therefore interference will likely occur when 7 units are attached to 7 TVs potentially operating simultaneously on 7 different TV channels, all within close proximity.

- Answer Couldn't get em to stop either...try the Sennheiser brand 170 model isn't too expensive and is as quiet as a mouse! Only downside is the ear pieces/cups are FLAT so they don't actually cup your ears...ie you can hear them if the person wearing them cranks up the volume and they may move on your head if you try to do aerobics with em on :)

- Answer Yes...... you can, but you will have a transmitter about the size of your iPad connected to it. If you are holding the iPad, the transmitter has to be connected and also powered to an outlet.

- Answer no, they have no built-in capabilities but will connect by either RCA mini-jack or standard white & red audio plugs to any component you have - tv, receiver, etc.

Questionwhy does the left ear not work when the right one does? This is the second time I have purchased this product. The first one worked well for two weeks. the new one only works with the right ear.

- Answer If it has happened to two different pair then I would consider looking somewhere else. The problem may be what you are plugging in to...or you may not have the wire plugged in far enough. Also make sure what you have it plugged in to is set on stereo and not mono in your menu settings. Are you using a different wire on the second pair? If not then try a new wire. Try plugging it into a different source...something that you know plays in stereo. Also this unit can be plugged in two different ways with the same wire that it came with...try plugging in the headphone jack to the source and the right and left RCA's into the transmitter...if that doesn't work, plug the right and left RCA's into the source and the headphone jack into the transmitter. One of these things has to give you conclusive results
