- Answer This is a router, not a modem. The modem is what the coax cable plugs into - it feeds the router, which is the device that creates a WiFi network. If all you have is this device, you still need a modem.

- Answer I have links maxstream ac2200. Its a little pricey around 200 but it works great and has a on off switch on the back to cut the kids wifi at night time.

QuestionCan this extend my wireless to my next door neighbors house if I want it to?My grandmother lives next to me and she has never had internet but it would be nice if she could get an ipad and use my wireless and get on facebook and see all her grandkids. Is there a range extender out there that could do that for me? She lives about 100yds away next door.

- Answer It depends upon how far away the house is in relation to where you set up the router. This router does have very good range, but if signal is weak you could purchase a range extender and put that in Grandmas house to boost the signal from your router

QuestionMy quest ion is,, will i be able to use it if i dont have internet service? I just need the wifi for my daughter's tablet and to get Netflix on my tv bu using the wifi without having to connect to the internet, will it be possible?

- Answer Yes, you can use the router without internet. No, you cannot get netflix without the internet.
