“Can this extend my wireless to my next door neighbors house if I want it to? My grandmother lives next to me and she has never had internet but it would be nice if she could get an ipad and use my wireless and get on facebook and see all her grandkids. Is there a range extender out there that could do that for me? She lives about 100yds away next door.”

• It depends upon how far away the house is in relation to where you set up the router. This router does have very good range, but if signal is weak you could purchase a range extender and put that in Grandmas house to boost the signal from your router

• I'm not sure about 100 yards but with the extended range, it just might. I have been able to connect to mine while visiting my neighbor but that is only 2 houses down from my home but I have never measured the distance either. The best way to find out is to disconnect your device from the WiFi, go to your grandmother's house and then turn it back on to see if your device will pick it up. If you are able to connect from there, it is likely that it will be a successful connection for her also depending on the device she is using.

• I know that when I am outside approximately 100ft from my unit, I continue to have solid wi-fi connectivity with my smartphone.

• I pick up my neighbors WiFi extender. He has them for his outdoor security cameras. I know every time his cameras are recording or when he’s doing live view.
