An Unbeatable Deal on an Outstanding TV
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently purchased the Hisense U8 from Best Buy, and I couldn't be more thrilled with my decision. This TV is absolutely amazing and has exceeded all my expectations in every way. Firstly, the picture quality is crystal clear. The colors are vibrant, the contrast is stunning, and the details are incredibly sharp. Whether I'm watching movies, sports, or playing video games, the visual experience is top-notch and truly immersive. What sets this TV apart from others is its audio quality. The built-in speakers, complete with a subwoofer in the back, deliver rich, full-bodied sound that enhances the viewing experience. The sound is clear, powerful, and well-balanced, making it feel like I'm in a theater right in my living room. Being an Android TV, the Hisense U8 offers seamless access to all my favorite apps. The user interface is intuitive and user-friendly, allowing me to easily navigate and install any app I need. Streaming my favorite shows and movies has never been more convenient. In terms of value, this TV is unbeatable. It was an amazing deal at Best Buy, offering features and performance that rival many high-end models at a fraction of the cost. I highly recommend the Hisense U8 to anyone in the market for a new TV. It’s a perfect blend of quality, performance, and affordability that is hard to find. Overall, my experience with the Hisense U8 has been outstanding, and I can confidently say it’s one of the best purchases I've made. If you’re looking for a top-of-the-line TV without breaking the bank, this is the one to get!

Very happy with Hisense u8k
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great tv! Colors and local dimming make the image quality amazing. Love playing video games and watching 4k movies on it. 120 hz vrr gaming is nice. Great for the price versus the competitors. More bang for your buck! Great sound, impressive built in speakers too!

Great picture! Perfect for Gaming
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Beautiful, clear picture. I personally love to watch it in theater picture mode but there are lots of options to choose from. My games look incredible and there is no lag whatsoever. I have since optimized my tv for game settings for my PS5 so the picture is even better than the photo. Movies and tv shows look great too. The blacks look nice and there is good contrast. I really couldn’t be happier! I wanted a nice tv without breaking the bank and this was perfect. The one thing is that the Best Buy sellers recommended a sound system since this tv isn’t known for having great sound. I haven’t noticed it too much because I am usually using my razor headphones. But I just thought I should mention it! My brother and dad and have since bought one of these TVs after seeing mine

Can't beat the features at this price. Truly amazi
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Superb picture quality and build. The capabilities of this unit at its price point is unbearable. Two weeks in and we've been turning off the lights to watch movies at night and the black levels are phenomenal and blooming is very controlled. To the average user this is almost OLED blacks but to the nit nerds it will still be an amazing comparison. No lag for gaming, smooth motion enhancement with true 120hz native panel and 144hz gaming capable. Sports looks very good (not amazing) and I'm looking forward to the NFL season. And the sound...5 speaks in a 2.1.2 configuration that provides excellent sound for something other than a sound bar. We turn the subwoofer off unless watching movies though.

Wow Hisense made an amazing TV!!! It's almost perf
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After many days of watching many reviews I bought this TV in 65" size and if you're on the fence about it heres some things to know, the picture quality is amazing and sometimes you'll swear it looks like an OLED TV when watching high quality content, deep blacks and colors that pop and the Speakers are amazing with rich sound and even good bass; If paired to the proper settings the brightness can be very in your face no matter day or night. On a technical level this TV is a beast. Every feature you can possibly think of like hands free voice control (2) 4K 120hz/4K 144Hz [gaming PC] HDMI 2.1 ports and (2) 4K 60Hz the newest ATS 3.0 tuner Dolby atmos, Dolby Vision, HDR 10, HDR10+ VRR, AMD free sync, IMAX enhanced and the list goes on. Now with all the good, here is the bad in my experience the Google TV OS can become laggy at time especially when you open up multiple apps and it can become a little unresponsive which is very annoying, to fix this simply use an external streaming box, the TV UI interface and menu is very fast and snappy it's just the apps aren't perfect my wife and I use an Apple TV 4K and it's a game changer compared to the built in TV OS apps and there are no adds; My only other gripe with the TV is the Remote control; it feels very cheap and they should have put alot more effort into making out of metal or something the cheap plastic just leaves alot to be desired amd even though its "back lit" it might as well not because its super dim and doesn't stay on very long and doesn't have a lift to wake feature; it very much just feels like its a glow in the dark remote, pretty disappointing to say the least. Other than that this a phenomenal TV and if you can get over those few problems I can strongly suggest this TV to anyone wanting an upgrade from a basic 4K or older TV the Value is unmatched and I would never have guessed id love a Hisense TV so much

Great TV that's worth the money! OLED fighter
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great alternative to OLED. I was deciding on whether or not I was going to purchase an OLED vs. this Mini-LED TV this year and I'm not disappointed. The picture and quality have been pleasantly surprising the brightness is perfect for lit rooms, Note that this TV performs better than the U6 and U7 versions. We paired this TV with the Hisense Dolby Atmos 5.1 speakers and we've loved the experience. We tested the picture and sound by watching Top Gun: Maverick and it was a pretty great experience. I also have a 120 inch theater projector w/5.1 setup down in my theater and this has become a good alternative when we don't want to head downstairs. I can't say how good the sound quality of the native TV speakers are... but I'm sure they're okay. I would recommend this Mini-LED to anyone. The TV is quite a bit thicker than and OLED but the blacks and colors are on par with an OLED. It's definitely not as contrasty as an OLED but to the general customer who's looking for a solid TV but doesn't want to spend double or triple the price for an OLED, if you go with this Hisense TV I know that you'll be happy with your purchase and it will not disappoint.

The tv I been looking for
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently purchased the Hisense 4k TV and I have been thoroughly impressed with its performance and overall quality. The first thing that caught my attention was the sleek and modern design of the TV. The bezel-less screen and slim frame give it a premium look, making it a great addition to my living room. The picture quality of this TV is outstanding. The 4k resolution provides crystal clear and sharp images, making every scene come to life. The colors are vibrant and the contrast ratio is impressive, giving a realistic viewing experience. Even when watching fast-paced action scenes, the motion handling is smooth and there is no blurring or lagging. Another great feature of this TV is the built-in smart functionality. It has a user-friendly interface and is powered by Android, allowing me to easily access all my favorite streaming services like Netflix, Hulu, and YouTube. The remote control also has dedicated buttons for popular streaming platforms, making it convenient to switch between them. The sound quality of the Hisense 4k TV is also worth mentioning. It has built-in speakers that deliver clear and immersive sound. While it may not compete with a dedicated sound system, it is more than enough for everyday viewing. Setting up the TV was a breeze and it comes with a variety of ports, including HDMI, USB, and Ethernet, allowing me to connect all my devices. The remote control is also easy to use and has all the necessary buttons for controlling the TV. Overall, I am highly satisfied with my purchase of the Hisense 4k TV. It offers great value for its price and has exceeded my expectations in terms of picture quality, smart features, and design. I would highly recommend this TV to anyone in the market for a 4k TV.

Fantastic balance of quality and affordability
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV checks all boxes for my use. Excellent image quality, it’s bright, offers great cinematic viewing in filmmaker mode, and console gaming is wow. Works well with Apple’s AirPlay and HomeKit. Even its built-in speakers sound pretty good, especially in smaller rooms. I’ve had it only for two months, so my only concern is longevity - time will show. Highly recommended!

Q: QuestionWhat is the difference between this unit and the Hisense U8H?
Asked by Chris83.
- A:Answer The Brightness is rated for 1500 Nits on the U8K. The U8H is sub-1000 Nits. That's the biggest difference. And much better speakers on the U8K, if that matters to you.
Answered by WilliamH
Q: Questionwhen it indicates Google tv, what does that mean?
Asked by 1018badge.
- A:Answer It’s more integrated to the google ecosystem….you can setup the tv easier with a google account. You are in no way whatsoever forced to have it or forced to have said account to get the tv up and running, it just makes it more convenient. Another way it is integrated with google is the voice command.

Q: Questionis the Atsc 3.0 tuner backward compatible on this set. we only have one channel transmitting 3.0 at this time.
Asked by jeffu8k.
- A:Answer I have no problem in getting local OTA channel in LA area. In fact, I get more channels than I had with my old LG TV.

Q: QuestionTwo questions: I heard the U8K drops the HDMI signal, especially when using an HDMI splitter. Has this been a problem for anyone? I use an HDMI splitter to hook up multiple gane consoles. Also, have people run into dirty screen effect with the U8K?
Asked by UgoE.
- A:Answer I am unable to answer the 1st question but yes unfortunately this tv does have dirty screen effect. It has definite vertical bands that can be seen in dark scenes.
Answered by MikeV
Q: QuestionMy TV has a horrid "mosaic" affect on deep blacks that cannot be adjusted away. Also, this new TV "communicates" with my Denon AVR and turns on the AVR and starts turning on media players like Blu Ray and UHD Disc players. I hate this!!! HELP!!!!!
Asked by SSSS.
- A:Answer As far as communication with other equipment, i found if you turn off "cec" on the other devices, it should alleviate your issue. Good luck. This info is from my Denon AVR: CEC (Consumer Electronics Control) also called HDMI Control, is a feature on most AVRs that allows for one button control of supported system functions. This feature may also be available on other CEC supported devices such as TVs or projectors. CEC can control power on/off functions, volume control and source switching by sending a command over the connected HDMI cables.
Answered by Spike75
Q: QuestionIs this the best tv for bright rooms?
Asked by Drowe98.
- A:Answer I couldn't say "best" but this TV has made a huge difference over my previous one in the brightness category. I had trouble seeing just about anything in midday in my apartment, but the new Hisense makes that problem a minor one-- if a problem at all.
