I heard the U8K drops the HDMI signal, especially when using an HDMI splitter. Has this been a problem for anyone? I use an HDMI splitter to hook up multiple gane consoles.

Also, have people run into dirty screen effect with the U8K? null

I am unable to answer the 1st question but yes unfortunately this tv does have dirty screen effect. It has definite vertical bands that can be seen in dark scenes.

8K is not widely (if at all) available via streaming.  I spoke with my son who is an avid gamer and he said it isn't much of a deal in that environment.

If you split your source you are likely to suffer signal degradation unless you insert a device too boost said signal.
