A:AnswerYou hook it up in the exact same way as it was hooked up to the original. I had this issue. When you program the thermestat, it will ask you if you have aux heat. If you program it incorrectly, when the ac comes on, it will blow heat Instead of cold. If this happens, simply change the program settings.
A:AnswerHi HoneyLover! The Honeywell Smart Color Thermostat (RTH9585WF) is specifically a retail model only. The RTH9580WF is a retail version of a different thermostat we sell that is trade only. The only difference is in the appearance of the display; they are both capable of controlling the same types of equipment. I hope you found this helpful! Thank you.
A:AnswerHi rkymtn! Thank you for your question about the Honeywell Smart Color Thermostat. There is no difference between the RTH9585WF and the RTH9585WF1004. The last four numbers found at the end of Honeywell model numbers can signify revisions to the thermostats as well as countries where the thermostats are available. When updates are made to a specific model number they will keep the base (ex: RTH9585WF) and then change the last four (ex: 1004) to signify the change. I hope that answered your question! Thank you!
A:AnswerHi Drue, this is not what you should expect. The system should not keep running past the set point. Please verify if the thermostat keeps showing 'Heat On' past the set point and feel free to contact our tech support team at (800) 633-3991 or via Private Message to our Honeywell Home Facebook account. We will be happy to help troubleshooting and verify what can be causing this. - Maria
A:AnswerNo the Rc is the red wire. You need 5 wires or more for this to run with all the functions. You can use one of the other wires but you have to drop control of the fan. It will only come on when furnace comes on.
A:AnswerMine measured 4.5" wide by 3.5" high by .75" deep. These are the measurements taken at the face. The face tapers inwards about 1/4" from all sides towards the back making it about 4" by 3" at the wall.
