Hi BT! The Resideo Honeywell Home Smart Color Thermostat is compatible with common 24 volt systems such as forced air, hydronic, heat pump, oil, gas, and electric. It will not work with millivolt systems, such as a gas fireplace, or with 120/240 volt systems such as baseboard electric heat. Additionally, it is compatible with 3 Heat/2 Cool Heat Pump and 2 Heat/2 Cool Conventional systems. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.We have two Carrier units (not sure about model numbers) and the thermostats work great. The most important thing is the correct wiring. Our old thermostat wiring did not have the C wire which we had to add.
