A:AnswerHaving a light is a deal breaker. Fusion rep said most customers vacuum during the day!! Give me a break. Very stereotyping. Day or night - a light makes a huge difference. The light from above is much different than a light in front highlighting the area you’re covering. For the cost of a Dyson you’d think research would’ve checked into this. Many other companies out there that have covered this area and rightfully so. I hope Dyson sees this and realizes their mistake and fixes it thanks to reviews.
A:AnswerHello Steph, this is Kelly with Dyson. With regard to run time, the V11 features three suction power modes, and run time would vary, depending on which mode you are using. You can expect to receive anywhere from 5-60 minutes of run time. Boost mode, which provides the strongest suction but shortest run time, is best suited for larger debris or more stubborn messes. In the strongest setting, suction on our V11 is 185 air watts.

A:AnswerIt sure does have a longer battery life! I have a 3,000 sq ft house and can do the whole thing on one charge. Sometimes I still have one bar left on the indicator. I was looking at the 10 before I purchased the V11 and am SO SO happy I chose the V11. It's a great vacuum, the suction is out of this world and I can breeze through my house so fast! Well worth the extra money in my opinion!
A:AnswerThe animal just has 3 bars on the back to tell u how much charge u have left and the torque drive has a LED screen that shows u how much run time u have left or if u have a blockage it can show u where it might be. Other then that they are the same vaccum. I have the animal and I love it.
A:AnswerHi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. On your V11 Animal, the filter is the blue piece that screws on to the back of the machine. The filter does need to be washed once per month, even if it doesn't appear to be visible dirty. If you need help with that process, please feel free to get in touch with us directly at [email protected].

A:AnswerHello Michael, this is Kelly with Dyson. The V11 features our light-touch trigger over an on/off switch to ensure that battery life is never wasted by letting the machine run when it's not in active use. You do need to hold down the trigger in order to power the machine.

A:AnswerHello Magda, this is Kelly with Dyson. The Dyson V11 Animal features a lithium-ion battery. Lithium-Ion batteries are subject to degradation over time. This is completely normal and occurs with any device that uses this type of battery. Unfortunately, we are unable to advise how long each component will last in each individual's home.

A:AnswerHello there, this is Kelly with Dyson. The Dyson V11 Animal comes with the following tools/attachments in the box: crevice tool, mini motorized tool, docking station, stiff bristle brush and the combination tool. These are the exact same attachments that come when purchased direct from Dyson. On the Dyson web site, you'll see that it lists 8 tools/accessories - which includes the high torque drive cleaner head, the wand storage clip, and the charger. All of those are included in the box with the model at Best Buy; but it may lists those separately.

A:AnswerNo, I have an older version of the Animal stick vacuum and it definitely came with a tool that keeps long hair from being wrapped around the tool’s inside mechanisms. The cord in the photo belongs to something else. Long hair spirals around the inside roller of most other tools.
A:AnswerHello again and thanks for the answer. I checked with the airline company and it is stated "Any lithium ion battery containing more than 160-watt hours is prohibited from carriage on all passenger aircraft. Is the V11 battery coupling with this limitation?
Thanks
A:AnswerHello Suzy, this is Kelly with Dyson. The wheels on the bottom of your cleaner head may leave lines in the carpeting, from being pressed into the carpet fibers while you vacuum. The depth of the lines can vary depending on your carpeting, how much pressure is being placed on the cleaner head while vacuuming and which suction mode you are using. This is a normal function of the vacuum.
