Not if you empty it after every use. And it is SOOOO easy to empty. One downward slide over a garbage can and you're done.

The Dyson V11™ Animal vacuum does feature a spinning brush bar in the torque drive head, as well as on the mini motorized tool. We do recommend regular cleaning of your brush bar, to remove hair before it's able to accumulate within the bristles, or able to move down around the spindles on the brush bar ends, causing the brush bar to no longer spin.
