“I just got one of these, the manual doesn't say much there's no instructions on mounting at all I plugged the charger into the machine and placed it on a stand should I leave it plugged in all the time or disconnect it after it's charged?”

It’s ok to leave it on the charger.

You can leave your V11 Animal cord-free on the dock at all times; you'll notice that while the machine is charging, you'll see blue LED light at the base of the handle of the machine. Once the charging cycle is complete, the light will go out, and the machine will stop charging. If you were going to be away from home for vacation, for example, you may wish to unplug the charger while away. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support
