A:AnswerThe Nighthawk does not have mesh technology, but you can use it as an Access Point to connect to your Orbi Router/Satellites. It will allow you to create a new SSID name with your nighthawk.
A:AnswerYour source fiber optic cable must connect to a modem and then you can connect your Orbi to the modem. If your modem already broadcasts wifi, best to turn that off/disable in settings.
A:AnswerYES. you may not get the full 1000 mbps, but you will get something around 500-700mbps. This will happen with any router so this is the best you can get
A:AnswerThe primary router is connected by cable to the modem provided by your ISP, most likely replacing the router they provided. The satellite can be connected to the new router, but it is also a wireless satellite. The advantage is that your devices may be using the bandwidth of one or the other, but you don't have to switch and log in to do so.
A:AnswerIf you unplug the router and then hold it in front of you and spin in a circle three times in a counter clockwise direction while chanting "Max signal" in a loud and clear voice the router will be set to max power, Or you could follow the directions in the online manual. The online manual solution will work best but if you do the first selection please post your implementation to you tube.
A:AnswerThe purpose is flexibility; I don't want to run cable down a stairwell to the satellite, nor from the satellite to the entertainment center, but you do seem to have those options. Try different configurations and find out which one gives you the best signal where you want it. Go wireless between router and satellite, or from satellite to Dishnet, and report back.
A:AnswerYou can certainly use it with the Comcast modem/router combo. It will basically create its own network. The only issue you may have is the wireless frequencies interfering with each other. I'm not exactly sure which Comcast modem/router combo you have, but some have the capability to turn the wireless off which would be a good idea, if possible. If not, the other option is to ask Comcast if you can have just a modem only without the wireless router built in.
A:AnswerA cable modem is required if your ISP provider is a typical cable provider over coaxial wiring. The Orbi does not have this function as it is only a router, not a modem.
There are products out there that are combination modem/routers but this isn’t one of them.
A:AnswerYes - it should. I was in the same situation with spotty coverage upstairs, in the garage and porch ... but now i get great coverage with just the router and one satellite.
