I have my Orbi base connected to a 24 port giga bit switch. It works. I don't know about a satellite, but I would think it would.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes I have more devices than ports needing connection than the Orbi allows. I just bought a 5 port Netgear switch. Any brand should work as long as they are gb ports you can buy at Best Buy or anywhere. Just plug you Ethernet cable from the Orbi to your expansion ports and then you should have 4 extra ports to plug in other devices. (There are bigger expansion switches that can hold many more).
