The primary router is connected by cable to the modem provided by your ISP, most likely replacing the router they provided. The satellite can be connected to the new router, but it is also a wireless satellite. The advantage is that your devices may be using the bandwidth of one or the other, but you don't have to switch and log in to do so.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, just the main router the satellite is wireless but the good news is that the satellite has an ethernet connection that works in case you need an ethernet connection wherever you put the satellite. My main router is downstairs and the satellite is on the main floor.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.no only the router. the satellite (2nd unit) needs to be close enough for the wireless to connect from the 1st unit.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Only the main router has to be hooked up to a LAN line.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No the satellite units do not, the main unit does.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. Just the Router. One nice feature is that you can run an ethernet cord from the node to any compatible device. However, I've experienced disconnect issues that appear to be related to the firmware. This products costs too much money to have those kinds of quirks.
