You can certainly use it with the Comcast modem/router combo. It will basically create its own network. The only issue you may have is the wireless frequencies interfering with each other. I'm not exactly sure which Comcast modem/router combo you have, but some have the capability to turn the wireless off which would be a good idea, if possible. If not, the other option is to ask Comcast if you can have just a modem only without the wireless router built in.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This isn't a modem, so you'll have to keep the Comcast unit. You connect to the Mobi with a LAN cable. You can disable the wifi on the Comcast modem if you want, or simply leave it running. I left mine on, it doesn't bother anything. You'll just have to pick a different name for the Mobi network. They say to disable it during setup, and it may help make things easier if you do that.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I learned about this after extensive research on my own system. You need to call comcast and have them put you modem into "bridge mode" . This will allow your router to have full access to the speeds that you want without the network traffic getting bogged down.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You have the option of either manually turning off the WiFi function in your combination device and strictly using the Orbi network for your WiFi needs (recommended), or you can run the Orbi system alongside your current network in Access Point mode. Instructions for setting up the Orbi in AP mode are located beginning on page 90 of the User Manual: https://www.netgear.com/support/product/rbk50.aspx?cid=wmt_netgear_organic#docs
