I needed a new laptop since my refurbished 2014 Surface Pro wasn’t able to keep up with the latest upgrade to Photoshop and Camera Raw. I really didn’t want to spend over $2,000 so I kept looking until this 2021 refurbished Mac popped up. It’s been a great investment. A little heavier than what I was used to and I also had to learn to navigate a Mac, other than that…amazing! I love: 1. Screen size 16” 2. Batter life 3. All the ports, especially the card slot since I’m a photographer. No need for the extra card reader. 4. Super fast everything lol It might be refurbished but this thing can run with the latest and greatest.

Came just as expected, and on the day promised, although there was a problem with the stock, Best Buy eventually sourced one from another location. Fully functioning like new, though it had a little dent in the top cover, which is cosmetic. Overall, it's a great computer. I'm happy to have it after upgrading from a 2012. The 16" screen is such a nice upgrade from the old 13" and I can never go back. The OS of Sequoia is fantastic and now I can run the programs that I couldn't on my older Mac. I really like how it handles music production software (Logic Pro). I think I will have this M1 for may years. I can't recommend this model more; it's a keeper.

I did not have a good experience with this purchase for two reasons: (1) A Best Buy chat representative told me that this was Apple Certified; however, it was not; and (2) the laptop I received had significant dents to the case and wasn't charged. Best Buy customer service told me they would accept an exchange, but only if a local store had the same model in stock. However, the local store's phone number just routes to a general support line that doesn't have info about local stock. So ultimately, even though I was given inaccurate information and the laptop was damaged, I had to do an in-store return. Given the hassle and non-customer friendly exchange/return process, I would not recommend purchasing a refurbished item through Best Buy.

Mine was refurbished by JemJem and came with a 1-year warranty. Everything seemed fine out of the box. It was clean and free of damage. Total battery capacity was still 93%, so it would still last all day. It came with a generic charging brick and cable (no branding at all), which I am not a fan of, but it's to be expected with these third-party refurbishing services. After about 5 days, it crashed and rebooted on its own a couple times. Then it just got stuck in a boot loop, so I couldn't use it at all. Luckily it was still within the return period, so I returned it and ended up getting a different computer.
Works really well for music and graphics great processor.

Computer has speaker issues and the charger overheated and stopped working. They only give you 14 days to return which is not enough time to test out a refurbished laptop.

The MacBook Pro is a game changer for my professional editing, however Best Buy customer service is horrible The charging block stopped charging in less than two weeks Best Buy wanted me to send the entire computer back This could have easily been resolved with a credit for the charging block I had to go to Apple to purchase a new one for $100 Go directly to Apple don’t buy from Best Buy

This is a comment on customer service more than the computer, I still have to test it out. But I am glad I have a total tech membership, because this computer showed up with out the original computer box, and the new box it was shipped in had a huge hole in it. The kind of hole that takes force to create. I will be back to write more after I get a chance to check the computer, but just like some of the other comments above, Best Buy seems to be falling off with their customer service. More and more you can tell people don't take pride in their work. It troubling. Also, it should be clearly noted that this computer was not coming in it's original box and I can't find that anywhere on the post. I would not have purchased this otherwise.
