Upgraded from a 4070 Ti Super Expert, and the ASUS TUF 5080 is a noticeable but sensible step up rather than a massive leap. Performance gains show most in newer, more demanding games, especially at higher resolutions and with ray tracing on. If you’re already on a high-end 40-series card, expectations should be realistic. Build quality and cooling are the highlights here. The TUF card is very solid, runs cool, and stays fairly quiet under load. Stability has been excellent so far with no crashes or odd behavior. That said, this card is very bulky. In tighter cases like the HYTE Y60, it can get choked for airflow when mounted traditionally. A vertical mount is basically required in that setup to let the card breathe properly, so definitely plan for that before buying. Overall, it’s a dependable, well-built GPU that makes sense if you want more headroom for ultrawide or 4K gaming just make sure your case can handle the size and airflow needs.

absolute monster of a car in performance and size, stays super cool during gaming. Is a big upgrade for me (coming from a 2080Ti) Handles 4k just find and is super quite. Also quite a bit of head room for overclocking about a 8-10% increase in performance with a quick and dirty overclock this card has a lot left in it and will last for a very long time!! Not to much rgb just the way I like it has a great look to it

The ASUS TUF 5080 is a great overall partner card for the 5080 series. With my unit, I was fortunate enough to not experience any coil wine, which is a known problem for the TUF series. But, even with these benefits that asking price of being 50 over MSRP of what the 5080 is advertised to retail for makes it hard to recommend to most. The build quality is excellent. The front and backplate of the card are made of aluminum, while the edges use "TUF" plastic. See what I did there? Sorry, lol. But I expected to see a lot more RGB for this price. The only thing that is illuminated is the TUF logo on top of the card. The card is pretty big, it mounts in 2 slots, but the width easily extends over 3. I don't personally have a problem with it as I use a big case, but make sure you double check the dimensions of any SFF cases along side the dimensions of this card. The card's temperatures are great. It efficiently cools the 5080 silicon. The highest I've seen it go is 65 °C under maximum stress conditions, such as using MSI Kombustor or Time Spy benchmarking. This is with a percentage per Celsius fan curve, so I have never seen it go over 65 percent fan speed as well. It doesn't usually get near this in normal game settings. Keep in mind, this is with overclocking the core clock boost up to 400 MHz and 2000+ for the memory. Which I also have to admit is great headroom. I saw increases in FPS of about 10 percent on average, with 15 percent being the highest from stock. This gets it near or even the same performance of a 4090. Just with much less VRAM. Everything about the card is great. The build quality, the performance, the cooling, the overclocking headroom, but... this can also be obtained with many cheaper partner cards, or even the base FE that goes for $500 cheaper. If this card were priced more reasonable over the MSRP, let's say maybe 25 to 30 percent, which is still high in my opinion, I think overall this card would be a good recommendation. But I just can't justify it to be $500 over the base price of a FE. I understand these cards are extremely high in-demand as of writing this, but the performance difference and overclocking headroom should be identical between these cards. You would be losing $500 for no good reason besides aesthetics. The original MSRP for this card was $1350, the max price I would consider reasonable, but uplifting another 10 percent to become $1485 is unacceptable. I understand a lot of this is caused by the recent imposed tariffs in the US, but ASUS is still making a decent profit as this card still costs the company a lot less than they are selling it for. The company could afford to keep the price stable while still maintaining a profit even after having to deal with the added import cost. But, instead they increased 10 percent to maintain profit margins. On a card that was already overpriced for what it was. While taking advantage of the artificial demand created by Nvidia for this series of cards. I come from a GTX 1080, the performance increase is huge, around 3 to 4 times more. But even with this, it's still hard to justify this pricing. You could buy a PS5, or an Xbox Series X, or a couple of Series S's, or even almost buy an RTX 5070 if you go with the FE instead of this card. You would lose out on all of this, for what, the SAME performance? Very unethical and predatory from not only Nvidia, but from ASUS. Just like any other 5080, it also includes Nvidia's new AI tech like DLSS 4 and MFG. It's great software, but I believe MFG should not have to carry what this series of cards lacks in raster increase from the previous generation. My bottom line, if you can find a cheaper partner card, or even the FE of the 5080, I would recommend getting that over this card. The 50 percent increase of MSRP is not justified whatsoever, and it's a shame because this is genuinely a good product, but not to the point where it can charge like this. I will be returning this if I can find a FE or cheaper variant of the 5080 series, even for a good of a card as it is.

Must buy for any gamer. The 5080 is amazing and has great temps no matter what you throw at it and it being TuF just means that is it amazing quality. The card is beautiful and the build of it looks amazing. I paired it with 9800x3d and I couldn’t be happier. Is it little pricey, sure. But you have to pay alittle more for quality build.

After five years of faithful service, I have finally retired my RTX 2080 Super. While that card has been amazingly reliable, if not amazingly performant compared to its predecessors, the 1080 being the absolute Beast that it was. It gave me much joy and let me push my games to the limit for a while as it replaced my old GTX960. Now, we're set for possibly another five years. The RTX5080 is a powerhouse, while its performance gains may not have been all that amazing compared to the 4080 super, generational leaps are not aways a guaranty. But, coming from the 2080 Super, it's nice to be able to just hit Ultra in the settings menu again. My biggest complaints are size and RAM capacity. In 2025 the 80 tier cards should have come standard with 24GB, especially with the 5090 coming set with 32GB. Games are relying far too much on brute force these days to do things we used to have cool tricks to accomplish, so it would be nice to have that extra wiggle room. I personally don't really care for all the DLSS AI upscaling nonsense, and Cannot stand the Frame Generation push, I think it's cool that we have advanced technology that can do it, that said however, I think some studios are relying on that technology as a crutch to 'solve' performance issues. None of that really is Asus' fault here, however. It's been close to a week that I've had to play with this, and it's ran great the whole time. When I unboxed this monster, I was having second thoughts about whether it would fit in my case. It absolutely dwarfs my previous card.

Picked it up for $1,199.99! Amazing value at that price. The card is extremely powerful, runs cool and quiet, and the build quality feels very solid. I’m using it with a mini PC via an NVMe-to-OCuLink adapter (PCIe 3.0) and it works perfectly stable. Even with the PCIe limitation, performance is still excellent. It’s a big card, but if it fits your setup, I definitely recommend it.

ASUS never fails to make a top tier card, I always tend to aim for ASUS when looking for a top tier card with the best cooling. Installation is easy and all of the materials feel premium. In this day and age, you’re paying a lot for a graphics card, at least make sure it’s worth the money, and I can say that this definitely is.

I managed to get an MSI Inspire card in early February (Full ROPs) and was fortunate enough to snag the ASUS TUF this week. I play Monster Hunter Wilds at 4k ultra settinng. My old MSI SFF card frequently caused game crashes. However, after switching to the ASUS card, I haven’t encountered any issues. The FPS is not only slightly better than the Inspire but also more stable. The TUF 5080 feels like a tank—heavy, solid build, great performance, and it never exceeds 60 degrees (around 57 'C on my build). The price might be little high but still within my budget so I'd give this card 5 star. If anyone could get it at MSRP before tariff then this card is no-brainer. For 5090 I'd also choose tuf (or astral)

I dont play any games in 4k but with my triple 32” monitors at (7680x1440p) it handles max graphics in any game i throw at it. With factory clocks I never see temps over 55c. Love this card so far. I purchased an Asus TUF 5070ti and returned it because I found this card for under retail price. This card was such a good buy. The huge heat sink keeps this things running cool and quiet. Overclocks really well and also allows +125% power limit which takes it to running 450 watts.

Coming from a RTX 3060, this upgrade is massive. The RTX 5080 handles every single game I throw at it with ease. 4K Ultra settings at high frame rates is the new standard. The cooling solution is also incredibly effective—my temps stay low even during long gaming sessions.

I use this card on an Odyssey G9 57 inch with 7680x2160 resolution on Linux. It works well most of the time, but the drivers cause the PC to freeze at times on the desktop. Aside from that, gaming is mostly solid, but the 16GB of VRAM isn't enough to smoothly run that many pixels, it's 2 4k monitors smashed together into one. This causes the games to stutter at times when the VRAM is at 100% capacity. Running The Last of Us Part 1 at max settings, including max Ray tracing settings, but having DLSS set to performance, I averaged about 65 FPS. Overall solid card, I just wish it had more VRAM.

Excellent card. Extreme fast and stays super cold. On the bigger side so be careful if you have a smaller case.

5/5, do recommend. Context: Bought this for my first gaming PC and it was definitely worth it. I don't have room for a desk so I have to play on my living room TV and my TV will only swap between 4K and 1080p. Which meant I have to be able to play at 4K. I'm also a firm believer that if I'm paying $1,600 for a GPU and just over $3,000 for the whole computer then I better be able to play at well over 60 FPS. Anything less than that and I'd feel like I wasted money. I built my computer around the GPU to ensure I would not be bottlenecked at any point and it worked. I've been able to play games at 4K well above 60 FPS and am absolutely thrilled. THIS IS BY FAR A MONSTER GPU. ALWAYS USED ASUS AND COMING FROM A 3070 TO THIS IS A MAJOR STEP UP. RUNNING FULL 4K 1440P. HANDLES EVERYTHING I THROW AT IT WITH EASE.

Total power house without compromising. Maxing Diablo 4, at 7680*2160 resolution, just looks incredible. At that resolution and quality, I average 58-61C and 290-325W usage per Nvidia’s overlay. With the TUF 4080 Super I replaced with this, it was 65-68C and 330W with less quality. DLSS4, Frame Generation x4 (multi-frame generation) and some RTX settings used (D4 still isn’t well optimized with Ray Tracing sadly). AMD Ryzen 9 5950X 64GB DDR4-3200 TUF 5080

Upgraded from a 3070 Ti and man what an upgrade. The 16GB of vram is amazing and helps run games like Forza Horizon 6 and Hogwarts Legacy at max settings while still getting high frame rates. Temps don’t get too hot even after gaming for hours and it’s very quiet. Extremely happy with this purchase.

I upgraded from an EVGA RTX 3080 to the new RTX 5080, and I can’t even begin to explain how incredible the difference is. This card is an absolute monster! I’m getting 400+ FPS on max graphics settings across the board, and everything runs buttery smooth. Whether it’s AAA titles or demanding creative workloads, the RTX 5080 handles it all effortlessly. What makes this even more special is how hard it was to find. I’d been trying to get my hands on one since launch day with no luck, until I finally scored one through the Best Buy app. Huge shoutout to Best Buy for making it happen! I’m now officially proud to be a Best Buy Member. If you’re thinking about upgrading, don’t hesitate. The RTX 5080 is 100% worth it. Powerful, efficient, and future-proof ,this is next-gen gaming and performance done right.
