I purchased it as a regular keyboard alongside a desktop computer for my bookkeeper. She said it was interesting to use. I know its made for gaming so my review would be skewed reporting in anything other than what it was used for, overall its functionality is great :)

Corsair already makes good stuff. The PC I built already uses a few corsair parts to begin with. I got this keyboard because for 1, its cheap (for a gaming keyboard, it was around 50$ when i purchased it.). 2, It's back lit. With all kinds of color options, your choices are near limit-less. You can have up to 3 different colored "zones" on the keyboard, or have just one color all over. And i believe you can make it fade in/out as well. 3, It's NON-MECHANICAL. Don't get it twisted, i know mechanical keyboards are great and the response time on them is insane, but they come with a hefty price tag, and the click-clak of the keys gets highly annoying for me. (So annoying, it gives me Forest Whitaker eye). But, the K55 still sounds great for when you are trying to type out those quick messages in-game! Overall, a great peripheral for your gaming setup (even if you are not on a budget!) To major MMO players, it may not be your first choice, due to limited 6 macro key selection. But that is why they make MMO keyboards/mice. just for that reason. It has a Windows lock key, so if you accidentally press that windows key by the space bar, it will not knock you out of your game if you have that key enabled. So, in closing, this keyboard is great, I recommend it to any PC gamer, be it casual, or hardcore. it may not have all the bells and whistles as its bigger cousins that best buy offers, but the K55 is well worth the money. maybe even worth more than 50$ IMO. I even sold my Logitech G510 gaming keyboard afterward because i like the K55 a lot more. TL:DR, It's a great keyboard for the money. I highly recommend it to any PC gamer. It has a minimalist setup, but yet, enough features to satisfy my needs.

The cheapest keyboard with 6 macro keys and dedicated multimedia controls you will ever find!!! I bought this a bit over a year ago and technically it is the keyboard im using to write this review so its still going strong. It has backlit lighting its not super rgb but i just have 1 color (light blue) at all times to be able to see the keys at night so its perfect for me. I would recommend downloading the corsair icue software for more settings and customization (software is free from corsairs website) I used it to program the 6 macro keys to random things. If mechanical keyboards are too expensive or are just not your thing this is the one for you 10/10! Also cleaning it is super easy you can just pop out the keys clean it and just pop them back in the same spot.

I wanted this keyboard for the backlit feature so when I start work early in the mornings I don't have to turn the lights on. The fact that it has RGB backlighting was a cool bonus. I do not use this for gaming, so I cannot comment on that aspect of the keyboard. The keys have a very pleasing resistance to them when typing and are fairly quiet. I also like the wrist rest which is useful for me. The only negative I have with this keyboard is the buttons to control functions during video playback are not lit up. This to me is a big oversight! It's what kept me from giving this 5 stars. Overall very nice keyboard that is a pleasure to use and a very good value. It's just one feature away from being great.

I was shocked to find this high of a quality keyboard for so cheap. Most keyboards that have back lighting and rebind-able macro keys are around $100. Overall great keyboard in appearance and use. The program to rebind keys is easy to find, download, and use.

I really don't game on my PC but I often work in a dark room so I wanted a backlit keyboard. My PC also has dynamic LED lighting as does my mouse so having a dynamically lit keyboard seemed to make sense in a number of ways. I appreciate the number pad to the right and the volume controls and mute button. The LED lighting schemes are many and varied (and somewhat customizable) and easy to control. The keyboard is relatively quiet and the keystrokes are comfortable. The included wrist rest was an added bonus.

I was choosing between this and the Corsair K70. Aside from the large price difference, I chose this one because of the fantastic and convenient 6 programmable macro keys. They have been a great perk in games. The easy, no-software programming of the RGB LED lights make customizing this product to your liking a simple process. There are 9 preset color schemes and a 10th one that you can customize to whatever you want. If you are wanting a keyboard fit for the elite gamer with a price that won't leave you second-guessing yourself, then you need to try this out.

In short, The RGB, Macro Keys and dedicated Media Keys, all in combination is what make this keyboard the the G213 stand out among budget keyboards and of the two, this one is far superior. I love Logitech G gear, but the G213 let me down on build quality and key actuation. As far as keyboards go, this one is excellent!! As far as membrane gaming keyboards go, again, this thing is excellent. I had the Logitech G213 before this, and I can say confidentally, there is no comparison. The key actuation feels excellent! Better than any membrane non-gaming keyboard I've used. Of which there are many! The keys feel very much like a firm Cherry MX Silent, to me. Or a silent Romer G Tactile. For the price, this thing cannot be beaten. $50 or less, usually. Compared to the G213 mentioned above coming in at about $60, not only is this keyboard better in every single metric, but it's also less expensive. To get these features in any other brand's membrane keyboard, you'll spend atleast $25 more. And at that price you're getting into Mechanical keyboard pricing.

Most gamers usually want to go with the mechanical keyboard, which is fine, I guess. This is not mechanical, but comparing price to quality, this can't be beat. The features allow for increased usage and gaming and the keys are very comfortable. The removable wrist rest is a great asset, I always use it. I would definitely recommend this to anyone, whether you are a casual gamer or a hardcore gamer, and anyone in between. I have noticed virtually no lag between keystroke and register.

I am no gamer. I wanted an affordable keyboard with a cord for my home desktop computer. Keith and Charles directed me to the gaming keyboards as the options for regular keyboards are minimal these days. I had narrowed it down to the Hyper X Alloy Core RGB and the Corsair K55 RGB. Initially I purchased the Hyper X because it seemed to review better, and it was a more basic layout due to the Corsair K55 having an extra row of programmable keys to the far left. The thing I chose to give up was the snap on wrist rest that comes with the Corsair. I got the Hyper X home and plugged it in. I used it a little and did not enjoy how it typed nor the fact it didn't have the wrist rest that I felt I could do without. After dinner I tried again. Same feeling of buyers remorse. I wrapped it back up and took it back. I swapped for the Corsair. the K55 happened to be $10 cheaper on Amazon so the store matched the price. Got it back home and not only did it feel much better having the wrist rest, but the typing is very good. Smooth, and one of the best I have experienced. I also have realized the programmable buttons will come in handy with my work. Keep in mind, both products have excellent build quality.

I bought this on sale for 25% off on Black Friday. I have a few observations on my experience so far. (1.) The keys are some kind of cross between a mechanical and a normal keyboard. I haven't done a whole bunch of typing on it, but so far I don't care for the feel. Everything does work; I haven't tried the Macro keys however. No ghosting has occurred on some casual online games when I've pressed 4+ keys. (2.) In proper light, the keys are easy to read, unlike other RGB keyboards. That is a plus for people who look at their hands while typing or like me, who frequently lose their place on the keyboard and have to look down to reorient. (3.) The lighting is nice, and I love how many colors there are and the many customizable options there are. However, that brings me to... (4.) The orange is nearly indistinguishable from the yellow, it wasn't like that when I first got the keyboard Also, at times the cyan is the same from the blue, but that's better than when I couldn't tell it from white when I first got it! It seems like as the keyboard is on though, the cyan does change color and becomes the blue-green it should be. I bought the keyboard partly because I wanted orange lighting, and that I don't have orange is a negative. Overall, I would rate this thing somewhere between a 4 and 4.5 , due to the missing orange and my slight disdain for the keys. I am mostly happy with my purchase, and if I were looking for another one, would likely buy again.

Vibrant colors, easy to program keyboard at a low price I just wish they made these wireless but of course the battery would die quickly so I stuck with corded. If you want color back lit this is the one for you...
