Really great for school or even just for leisure
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My first laptop that I have owned in a long time and I very much love it and am happy with the choice I made. I have the nlightgolde(the a bit smalled and cheaper version of this model). I will say it does reach kind of creep onto the pricier side if you are on a budget, I lucked up and was able to find it a bit cheaper. I do overall think it's a good price considering its a 2-in-1 and those tend to reach well over $1k. It's fast, reliable, and gets the job done. I can stream, play games, & work on it. Its a really nice laptop that definitely worth what it's cosy.

Excellent value in a gorgeous laptop
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.HP really surprised me by offering this beauty - its case is in a bronze/black finish that is simply stunning and totally unique. Behind the scenes, I would say that this computer is oriented towards video streaming, web surfing, and general purpose activities. I would not recommend it to a video editor or a graphic designer using high-end software. Its really oriented towards the general user who's looking for a full-featured laptop/all-in-one at a terrific price point. The touch screen is wonderful!!

Better than the last laptop that I returned
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Before I bought this laptop, I owned the HP 15-EF0023DX. The 15-EF0023DX laptop was ok, but the battery life was terrible. I also didn't like the screen contrast and colors on the other laptop. Now for this ENVY laptop, the battery life is a little bit better. But there could be some improvements on the battery. I really like the SSD feature. The laptop boots up in little of 3 seconds. The contrast and color of the display of the ENVY is amazing, no complaints. The ENVY does have better speaker quality than the 15-EF0023DX. I really enjoy tablet mode on the ENVY, as well as the micro phone mute button on the keyboard and the camera blocker button on the keyboard. I also like that the ENVY has a back-lit keyboard. On the ENVY, I tried a couple of games, they performed just fine, there was no complaints. The ENVY does have a better keyboard and track pad than what the 15-EF0023DX has. So you might wonder why I gave this review a 4 star rating instead of 5, like I said, the battery could have a little bit of a improvement. I do recommend the ENVY to anyone. If you are thinking of getting the 15-EF0023DX or something similar, I just recommend paying the difference for this ENVY, and buy that instead. I did buy the ENVY when it was $200 off. Honestly, I don't think this laptop is worth the regular price of $780. So if you can get a good deal like $200 off or possibly more like I did, then I recommend buying this laptop.

||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.for the "open box excellent" one I got for sub $550 I'm very pleased. using it for graphic design work adobe photoshop/indesign/illustrator all is working great. I'm even able to run some decent games (Overwatch on medium settings etc...) this amd processor is pretty impressive. screen also looks fantastic and battery life is good. get hot under heavy gaming that's maxing settings but nothing to crazy. would recommend.

Functional laptop with minor, recurrent problems.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Decent laptop, given its price. I would not recommend purchasing this unit unless you have a particular need for a 2-in-1 laptop. To summarize: the HP Envy has an aluminum or other metal finish. It feels study, but that sturdiness comes at the cost of excess weight. The keyboard is surprisingly spacious--I type between 140 and 160 words per minute, and I do not feel that my performance has suffered after replacing my old Lenovo. The display is alright, and does a good job managing glare. Honestly, I'm not sure what else to say--it's a standard mid-range consumer laptop. I was pleasantly surprised to find that I could play games like Civilization V on low to medium settings, although I'm not sure how performance would fare in the late-game, when resource processing becomes significantly more demanding. The two biggest complains I have about this laptop relate to performance. Firstly, my Envy has had recurrent power problems since purchase. Sometimes it powers off at 10% battery. On several occasions--despite having significant charge--I have been able to turn the laptop on, even after plugging in it. I just have to mash the power button, over and over and over again, and eventually it'll turn on. It's annoying. The other recurrent problem involves tablet mode (I think). Sometimes, upon waking my Envy from "Sleep," it will refuse to acknowledge any non-tablet inputs, despite Tablet mode being switched "Off" in settings. The only solution is restarting it. All things considered, the Envy is a decent laptop: I work remotely and take graduate courses, and it--obviously--works fine for word processing and Zoom meetings. However, I am not sure whether "word processing" and "Zoom meetings" justify the price tag. Again: if you do not have a pressing need for the 2-in-1 capability, you are likely better served looking elsewhere.

Great price
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had been shopping and comparing laptops/price for a month and came across this HP Envy 2 in 1 and loved the specs. Compared with Lenovo and this has (8 gb) RAM that’s upgradable unlike the Lenovo that’s soldered. Backlit keyboard (Black not silver which I didn’t like), AMD 3rd gen Ryzen 5 4500U processor, 256 SSD ( would’ve preferred 512 but it’ll do), windows 10, HD screen, speakers are Bang & Olufsen and very loud and clear, 3 cell battery for longer charge and a 15.6” screen. I’ve looked around and so far this was the better deal for under $600. And a 2020 model. From the reviews this looked to be better than a 2019 model with Intel I5 or I7. My wife used it for a zoom meeting and it was good but camera didn’t appear very clear (on our end). But it’ll do. Not a heavy user but will be doing more from home. Had a 2014 HP Notebook window 8.1 , AMD 6 and 4gb memory (which I upgraded later) that was for my son to use in HS. It was ok for him then. I still use it at work but instead of upgrading that to Windows 10 (for the costs) I jumped on the chance for the HP Envy. So far no problems after 3 weeks and set up was very simple. The 2 in 1 was an added bonus we can use to watch videos. I got the service/accidental warranty for 3 years just in case since birthday gift was 10% off one item. But that’s me. If I come across any problems later on I’ll post a review then.

Awesome computer for my needs
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Daughter took my older hp laptop and I was using a desktop. The desktop was upgraded to windows 10 and was good for bills, etc....I needed an upgrade for the mobility and got a laptop to use outside the home. This one does everything and more than I needed. I am still getting use to the touchscreen, it saves some time as well as the tablet mode. I was actually able to download and play fortnite with my son while he was on the Xbox. It met all my expectations and then some. I bought it on sale, but I think all laptops are a little expensive......

awesome laptop that I ever had
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This HP Envy laptop is awesome. The security is great, speed of this laptop is crazy, and 80% of the time, I sometimes forget that some and not all places don't have touch screen computers (but I didn't know my laptop is right there after a crazy day). This HP laptop may take a little time to get use to, until eventually it gets easier and better overtime.

Perfect for Work!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My old laptop died mid-workday and working remotely in the middle of a global pandemic, I needed to replace my laptop and get back online quickly. Ran to Best Buy on my lunch break and decided to go with this. This laptop is a great size and light weight. Easy to setup (I have a second monitor connected as well) and I LOVE the touchscreen! I use virtual apps for work, so I don’t require a large amount of memory or anything too crazy but it’s perfect for what I need it for!

Works great....when it works.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me start by saying this is a good laptop. It really does work so nicely MOST of the time. I have had a lot of problems with the internal microphone and accompanying drivers and software. It seems no matter how many updates or how many times I uninstall and reinstall the drivers, conference calls with this internal mic freeze the computer mid-call. As a teacher, teaching remotely you can imagine how maddening this is. Simple work around: use a headset! Haven't had a problem since. Oh and this is the 2nd iteration of this laptop. The first one’s internal mic just flat out broke after 2hrs of use. I returned it and exchanged for a new computer. So.... 3 stars for having such a crummy microphone. I don’t know why HP would produce what should be a simple, robust piece of hardware. Instead it is a gadfly of a problem with this particular laptop. Microphone aside I would give it a 5/5 for value and a 4.5/5 for speed, ease of use, customer support from HP and Microsoft.

Best HP Laptop
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.HP Envy x360 is one of HPs best Laptops around. Its full metal design is a HUGE plus in my book! The fans can be a bit loud, though there command center program has a quiet mode which negates the loudness. When you play games you will definitely notice the odd noise they make. Their placement being right under the laptop is a bit of a bad design choice in my opinion. Overall though I really enjoy this laptop since I had the previous gen

Best purchase for 2020
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love how this laptop's speed is equivalent to an i-core7 processor I used at work. The speakers are amazing with Alexa included! It is great for watching Netflix, doing Live feeds and Zoom meetings. The only downside is the quality of the camera is grainy:( But otherwise, this is one of my best purchases for 2020! It is definitely worth the money and I only paid $679! It almost feels like a high end Dell I have at work which is worth $2k!

Excellent hardware, pre-existing software issues
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In terms of hardware this is a really great laptop. The processor is excellent and has tremendous power compared to Intel processors of the same class and price range. It's aluminum body is very nice and contributes a lot to good heat management and the folding/tablet mode capability is really well done; really tight robust hinges. It has a very nice full HD display with decent brightness, tiny bezels, and a very accurate and responsive touchscreen. The trackpad is nice and big and lighted keyboard has a good feel. It also comes with one of the best Wifi/bluetooth combo cards you can get in a laptop. For hardware it's a 10/10. There is, however, a faulty driver on this laptop that causes it to hard crash and bluescreen during video conferences. This happens in Zoom, Google Meets, and everything else. Everybody with this laptop is having the issue and HP has yet to address it. You can fix it by installing the correct video drivers and disabling automatic updates, but if you aren't willing or able to deal with changing drivers I don't recommend it until HP corrects the issue. If you want more info just google "15m-ee013dx audio issue".

Great buy!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great battery life! Ease of access with HP apps. This laptop has made my life easier. Very slim design and impressive screen quality. Love the number pad and full size keyboard with adjustable back light. Flips into tablet mode which is neat! Great sound quality! Keys are flat and is little hard for me. However, I have neuropathy and numbness so that is a personal preference. Would buy again!

Perfect Laptop on a Budget
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was able to get this laptop in an open box and it was one of the best decisions I have made. I was looking for a 15.6 in laptop because I love me a big screen and this was one of the best ones for that price. You get a fast Ryzen 4 series chip set and Vega integrated graphics that blow Intel out of the water. I don't play many computer games other than some of my childhood games back from the early 2000s and it doesn't stutter like it should. It also supports 4K video, which helps when I'm running the laptop to my 4K monitor. The battery life is amazing, I usually get 8 - 10 hours under a pretty decent workload, I can definetly stretch it if I managed the power better, but still good for a full day. The thing that surprised me was the display and the build. The build is really nice for the price, probably the best in it's price point. There's a little flex on the the keyboard, but not much. I was also wake to upgrade the RAM to 2 8gb sticks pretty easily, however, the rubber feet are in the way of the screws and wear out quickly. I recommend getting third party ones for easier access to upgrade the SSD and the ram. There was some talk about the display and the poor red, I didn't really notice it until I put my focus on it, but everything else was really good! My only real gripe is the onboard speakers, it's nice that they're on top of the chassis, but they get distorted at about 55 - 60% and it is a problem between many HP laptops with the same speakers. Luckily I work with external speakers and headphones so it's not much of a problem with me.

Laptop is great, best buy's description wrong...
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Laptop itself is great. I switched from 8 year old asus with 2nd gen i5. The difference is huge, obviously. It has only been few hours of this laptop use and it is not disappointing so far. Battery life- manual says 11h30min. Will have to update on that since i dont know yet. Anyway- 5 star for computer so far. for best buy description 4 star. First of all it is AMD Ryzen 5 4500U. which should have 6 cores and 6 threads. not 6 and 12 as description says. I knew that it was wrong when i was buying it so it wasnt big deal for me. Second of all which was really big disappointment for me- description says it has thunderbolt 3- well it doesnt... and honestly the only reason i bought it at best buy was because of that. when i checked similar laptop at manufacturer website they clearly told me it didnt have thunderbolt3. thats why i came to best buy since it supposedly came with it... will see if that can be fixed. Other than that great computer so far as i said.

Awesome and powerful laptop for the price.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Lots of nice features for the price. AMD Renoir gets you great bang for the buck performance as well as great battery life all in a nice 2 in 1 package. Has lots of room for future upgrades with 2 dimm slots and m.2 My only complaints are: Screen - Wish it could get a little bit brighter. Keyboard - I don't like the placement of the finger print sensor. Weight - Pretty heavy for something that looks like a thin and light.

Very Nice Computer
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The HP Envy x360 seems to be a terrific computer. Feel of the keyboard is very nice, and (probably thanks to the solid state drive) boots up extremely quickly. I was a bit apprehensive about only 256GB on the hard drive, but decided to go with the newer technology vs. traditional. With the 1TB cloud storage as part of Office 365 subscription I already had, the 256 seems my concerns were unfounded. Only negative is that when using it in the tablet mode the back side of the tablet is the keyboard itself. Would be nice if they made a lightweight cover that could snap on when needed, and store out of the way on the bottom of the computer when not needed.
